Subject: drain life for 60
anyone? tom dixon(T1)
this is a type 1 deck thats been around for a few
years but it seems to be forgotten. the strategy of the deck is to start
out by getting a black and a green mana available. then you play
squandered resources, which allows you to sacrifice a land to gain 1 mana that
the land could produce. next turn you sacrifice all your lands to get down
to zero lands. you use the floating mana to pay for natural balance and go
back up to 5 lands. then you play cadevorous bloom, which allows you to
discard a card to get GG or BB. you then use your multiple draw cards to
get a drain life into your hand and enough cards in your hand to kill your
opponent, the number that you need is one more than half the life of your
opponent. this deck is cheap to build, only expensive cards are the city
of brasses. now there are no creatures in this deck but it is so faast
that ive never had a problem with creatures attacking me. the only thing
that you need to do is ensure that your spells can not be countered. thats
why you must use abeyance or city of solitude. there is 70 cards in the
deck but the draw power in it makes it simple to draw. also, the reason
there are so many cards is because you need a lot to drain life for a lot.
i've gotten as high as 84. just make sure that you have some blue mana
floating, so that you can prosperity again after you draw so many cards.
the infernal contract is powerful because if you do it right there won't be a
next turn, the same goes for the meditate. time walk and ancestral recall
could be added i just don't have them. any questions or comments email me at
