This card is very underrated in Constructed. Card of the day December 10th reviews have shown that this card is pretty useless.
In my opinion this card could be combined with:
Leonin Abunas serves
GREAT purpose with this card
Blistering Firecat (Skizzik, Ball Lightning
and etc.)
Wrath of God (likely when you have one or two creatures and
they have a barrack)
With Card Control (a until end of turn control card,
i.e Chamber of Manipulation)
and the plus is....the state based effect doesnt
end at end of turn...woot! i can dream about taking a
leveler...
Permanent Defense, an In response to your opponent destroying
your creatures (say goodbye to your Exalted Angel..oh i think not! drop a Dark
Ritual...take 1 burn. XD)
and i think that covers all the colour
versatility.
Its LOW CC allows a turn one drop but the key is
strategy...NEVER tap out when you have a bunch of cards on it...its obvious that
you should never tap out period but if you notice you have to play something,
play it. A lot of people underestimate this card but it has won me a few
games with the lethal combos i throw in...
Unlike other cards, you can
ACTUALLY use 2 of these...make 2 piles of cards and choose some mid game
choices...deploy one set of cards and savour the rest...
