The Plaque
by Scott Arko
Hey all you at Pojo, I
have adeck idea that involves two cards prominently.
The deck is called the "Plaque" and revolves
around Alloy Golem, Sway of Illusion, and Spreading
Plaque. The idea is to set up Spreading Plaque, play
Sway of Illusion on your opponent's creatures, then
drops Alloy Golem with the correct color to wipe out
your opponent's force all at once. The strategy will
go deeper into the deck after the listing.
4 Alloy Golem
4 Metalworker
4 Mindless Automation
4 Avatar of Woe
4 Spreading Plaque
4 Pulse of Llanowar
4 Sway of Illusion
4 Liberate
4 Ensnaring Bridge
3 City of Brass
4 Brushland
6 Forest
4 Swamp
1 Plains
2 Island
This deck may seem
strange to some. Cards such as Avatar of Woe, Mindless
Automation, and Pulse of Llanowar may seem strange,
but they serve an important role. The super powerful
Avatar can easily be sent in for two mana because
Spreading Plaque should drop creatures into the
graveyard very quickly. The Avatar can also be used
against Chimeric Idol and Artifact creatures. The
Avatar can, last but not least, be used to win the
game.
Mindless Automation can
also help get the Avatar in quick, while at the same
time leaving you with a larger creature and keeping
the Ensaring Bridge under control.
Pulse of Llanowar is
vital to the deck because of all the different colors
in it. It allows you to play cards with whatever
mana you have available.
Ensaring Bridge is used
to keep creature swarms under control, while Liberate
can save your Alloy Golem and at the same time
returning him to destroy opposing creatures again.
Sideboard-
2 Saprazzan Outrigger
4 Gaea's Herald
2 Vitalizing Wind
4 Chimeric Idol
3 Disenchant
The Sideboard is designed to handle a
variety of decks. Gaea's Herald helps to defend
against control, as does Disenchant. Vitalizing Wind
is used against rebels, since they should be pretty
easily destoyed and then you can finish them off.
Chimeric Idol is very good against control. Disenchant
can also help against other decks.
Well, that's it. Please
post this, it took an hour to write.
Good Luck!
