Apocalypse Decks, Part 2

Hello everyone, welcome to part 2 of my AMAZING article. Today I will give you faithful readers a black/green decklist, and 2, yes 2, red/white decklists. I don't know about all of you, but I am getting very excited about Apocalypse. The set appears to be amazing, and I just can't wait for the prerelease tournament. I am writing this on friday, but I don't think that it will get on the web before the tournament. I am going to the prerelease at the Game Store, formerly known as NeutralGround Detroit. The place is great, and I go to their Type 2 tournaments that they hold on saturdays. Anyways, on with the decklists!

        Black/Green Beatdown aka Snuff-o-Derm 2001
If I was going to make a green/black deck, I would make it an aggresive fattie deck similiar to the popular Masques block deck, hence the name. My decklist seems pretty solid to me, but I can't really tell.

Creatures
4X Birds of Paradise
4X Blastoderm
4X Spirit Monger
4X Phyrexian Scuta
4X Chimeric Idol
4X Ebony Treefolk

Spells
4X Consume Strength
3X Pernicious Deed
2X Phyrexian Arena
4X Snuff Out

Lands
4X Llanowar Wastes
10X Swamp
9X Forest

I like this build a lot, and am sure that I will put a deck together that is very similiar to this. The creatures are all great, with the first new one being the almighty Spiritmonger. Now, what exactly was the magic R&D department smoking when they made this guy? First, you notice that it is 5 mana for a 6/6. You think, "Oh, there has got to be some draw back". You glance down and read, "Whenever Spiritmonger deals damage to a creature, put a +1/+1 counter on Spiritmonger". Now, you start to think that there has got to be a pretty big drawback. You look down further still and read, "B: Regenerate Spiritmonger". At this point, you figure that the drawback is HUGE. But when you read the last line, it says "G: Spiritmonger becomes the color of your choice until end of turn". You frantically read the card again, hoping that you missed something. But you didn't. The truth is, when I first saw the card on the pojo, I thought it was fake. I ! said "Yeah right. Like they would p
The second new creature is Ebony Treefolk. It reads like this:
Ebony Treefolk                        1BG                           3/3
BG: Ebony Treefolk gets +1/+1 until end of turn.
Think Trained Armodon with a pump ability. Not only is he effiicient at 3/3 for 3, but his pump ability is great in the late game. I have 4 of this guy in here because of that.

Now, for red/white, I came up with two different decklists because I didn't know what version would work better. Here is the first one....

Red/White Sligh, or Dork Weenie
When I was trying to think of a red/white decklist, I tried to think of past decks of each color. What is the best mono-red ever? Sligh of course. And what is one of the best mono-white decks ever made? The glorious White Weenie. As I thought about it more, this deck seemed to be a perfect fit. The 2 decks were very similiar, so I figured that I could combine them into one awesome deck. Here is my attempt at this deck:

Creatures
4X Ramosian Sargaent
4X Fresh Volunteers
4X Chimeric Idol
3X Skizzik
4X Goblin Legionairre

Spells
4X Urza's Rage
4X Shock
4X Seal of Fire
3X Orim's Thunder
4X Tangle Wire
Lands
4X Battlefield Forge
10X Mountain
8X Plains

This seems like it could be a very good deck. It seems to be a very fast deck, and if your opponent is not playing a really fast deck, the dorks could run him over. This deck tries to combine some elements of both of the strategies.. Ramosian Sargaent is a 1/1 for 1, but when you get to 3 mana, you can start to search out Fresh Volunteers. Goblin Legionarre is very good, as it is sort of the new Mogg Fanatic. Skizzik will usually be the finishing blow, but you can back it up with your burn too. Orim's Thunder works as a Disenchant and burn spell all in one. Tangle Wire is pretty self explanatory. Overall, this would probably the red/white deck that I would make.

Red/White Control aka the Giant Wrath
I know, the names are starting to get cheesy, but give me a break here. This is almost a completely different strategy than the other deck. This deck stars Desolation Giant, and shold possibly be named "Board-Clearer.dec".

Creatures
3X Desolation Giant
3X Blinding Angel

Spells
4X Wrath of God
2X Rout
2X Captain's Maneuver
2X Goblin Trenches
4X Urza's Rage
3X Story Circle
4X Order/Chaos
3X Ghitu Fire
3X Jayedame Tome
2X Millstone

Lands
2X Kor Haven
4X Battlefield Forge
10X Plains
9X Mountain
