Marincess Circulation – #LED9-EN036
Target 1 WATER Link Monster you control; return it to the Extra Deck, and if you do, Special Summon 1 “Marincess” Link Monster from your Extra Deck with the same Link Rating but a different name, but it cannot attack directly or be destroyed by battle this turn. (This is treated as a Link Summon.) If you control a Link-3 or higher “Marincess” monster, you can activate this card from your hand.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Marincess Circulation plays into the link climbing Marincess like to do and make it easier for you to get to a certain Link and get its effect(s).
Normal Trap that cycles back a WATER Link for a Marincess Link Monster with the same Link Rating. Can’t rinse and repeat using the same monster, of course, but Marincess have at least one copy at each Link Rating, you can swap at any Link Rating. Can’t attack directly that turn won’t be too bad of a restriction the lower the Link Rating as you are trying to get a higher Link Rating, but the battle protection may come in handy if done on your opponent’s turn to stall. Battle Ocean can provide some serious ATK boost to your new Link Monster, so you may want to save that for when you climb higher since you can’t attack directly for the turn. So many of the Marincess Link Monsters have effect(s) revolving around monsters equipped to them, your hope is to use this card to swap out a Marincess Link Monster with another at the same Link and then equip up to three other Link Marincess Monsters using Battle Ocean as well.
Marincess Snow does something similar to what this card does, however with Marincess Snow you get effect protection on a Marincess Link Monster below the Link Rating of whichever Link you targeted that was destroyed. However, unlike Snow, if you control a Link-3 or higher Marincess, you get to activate this card from the hand, eliminating the risk of having it destroyed on the field.
Marincess Circulation feels like a trap version of a Gladiator Beast monster: Swap out for something that best suits your board/turn situation. Get another effect(s) from a different Marincess Link at the same Link Rating before progressing forward, or save your Marincess Link by cycling it back to get one that now can’t be destroyed by battle. Either turn will provide you with protection from battle and can combo with Battle Ocean. Can be a good stall card on your opponent’s turn especially if used to get out Marbled Rock (if possible).

We couldn’t do a Marincess Week and not look at any of the new Traps the archetype got, so here’s one of them with Marincess Circulation.
Criculation is a Normal Trap that lets you target a WATER Link Monster you control and return it to the Extra Deck to Special Summon a Marincess Link Monstere with the same Link Rating, but a different name, from your Extra Deck, however the summoned monster cannot attack directly or be destroyed in battle that turn, and also this is treated as a Link Summon. I mean, it’s fine to be able to swap your Marincess Links if one would be targeted for an effect, and the replacement monster getting protection from destruction in battle for the turn is nice. Not being able to attack directly that turn is a negative, but you can at least attack with it against other monsters, and I get why they put this here to prevent OTKs since you can use this from the hand if you control a Link-3 or higher Marincess. It’s a cute card, but not one I think you have to really play. Marincess Wave is still good enough of a Trap for the archetype to let that be the only one. Still, wouldn’t fault anyone for using this to protect their field presence.

Art: 4/5 The card is basically telling you how to use it, lol.

I bet we look at a Trap today (is it a Trap, it’s a Trap right?) Marincess Circulation, poorly named, is a Normal Trap, is one of those weird Monster trade cards. Specifically, you trade a Theme Link Monster you have on the Field, for one of equal Link Rating (but differently named here) from your Extra Deck. It gains Battle Immunity for the Turn, which is always welcome, but can’t attack directly in said Turn. That, I don’t like, but if you do this on your opponent’s Turn, that isn’t going to matter. You can activate this from your Hand if you control a Link 3 or higher Theme Monster. Being able to activate Traps from the Hand is fun, and that gives you a little more kick offensively and defensively. No restriction to one per Turn here, so I suppose that’s made up with the ‘no direct attacking that Turn’ to help offset. This is a unique one for sure…let’s do some Math…
You gave up 3 cards likely for the Link you’re trading in, plus this card, so that’s a -3 just to bring one new Link Monster to the Field. The benefit given sure doesn’t account for that either, but in a pinch, this can be used (as said) offensively or defensively to help you, at least even if only for another Extra Deck play yet, or just to block an attack.
Rating: 2.5/5
Art: 2/5 Lazy, uninspired, and they don’t seem to be circulating at all, even if the water may be.
