Good grief, until you're
been on the receiving end of one of those going off, you
just don't understand. If you have the initiative
on the turn this thing hits the board, the game might
simply be over right there, right then. In a
Sealed Game, I took over 35 points in ONE TURN from this
guy. He absolutely devastated my army, then hit me
for a whopping 15. Of course, if you don't have
the initiative, it could be problems if your opponent
can kill you. Let's be honest - 13 def for a 7
caster isn't that great, and can be easily tag-teamed.
On offense, though, he just wins games.

This Wolverine has turned
out to be one of my favorites in limited play. Use
the plot twist Flying Kick (Target character has
flight this turn. While attacking this turn, that
character gets +3 ATK) at the beginning of your attack
step with him, and it should be a huge finishing
blow. Wolverine, from the Front Row, can start by
picking off any 4 or less cost characters (which your
opponent probably tried to hide in the back row during
the Formation Step), readying after each attack. The
break through damage from these attacks should do
major, if not lethal, damage to your opponent.
Wolverine can then take on another character, and open
the door for other characters of yours to attack.
Unless you had a horrible disadvantage coming into the
turn, this should be more than enough to bring home
the game for you. If not, the carnage it caused should
be a huge blow in and of itself.
Wolverine forces your
opponent to use Formations that may be less than
optimal at the very least. On the bad side, it does
not have range, and can be a vulnerable placement in
your front row, especially if you are not attacking
first. Your opponent will likely jump through hoops
to disable it, including team attacks. The last thing
they want is Wolverine set loose to pick off all their
small drops and break through like crazy.

This character is a board
wrecking machine. When your playing Sentinels or any
deck that doesn’t have its fair share of big creatures
this guy is a nightmare. I watched him destroy a whole
board full of opposing creatures. His cost to recruit
being set at seven is something that I am very thankful
for. The game developers also where very aware of what
he could do and by setting his rarity in the Rare slot
makes it to where you will not have to see him that
often in draft. A good guy that can make the cut in all
formats. Constructed 3

This is a card that many people are already trading
for right out of the starter decks. You get an
amazing ATK and DEF for just seven resource points.
That's pretty damn good.
But the real scary part about this guy is the fact
that he gets to keep on killing if he successfully
slaughters a character that costs four points or
less. He truly does go into a berserker rage. I
would expect most X-Men themed decks to play at least
two of these. I have a feeling he may not be as
strong when later sets come out, but as for right now,
he's great.
