Remember when I
said yesterday Nightcrawler might be the 2nd
best 4 drop in the game? Well, this is the
best - by a lot.
Getting a double
digit power in 4 slot is just wrong.
Combine it with a boatload of things like Savage
Land and The New Brotherhood that make this guy
swing for enough to take down anything feasibly
recruitable in the game, and you have a bonafide
monster on your hands. Every Brotherhood
deck should run 4. It's insanely good.
Limited is
slightly worse since you can't build you deck
around it and you're less likely to have your
expendable Brotherhood card in hand, but it's
not like I'm gonna pass on it there either

Yeeowsa! An 11/7 for a 4 drop is AMAZING!
Who CARES if you have to discard a Brotherhood
character from your hand...you're drawing 2 a
turn anyhow and it's so worth having a big guy
on the board early. In constructed, he's a key
card in the Brotherhood deck, which centers on
fast and furious. Yeah, this guy qualifies,
I'd say. In the deck you use your Locations
and Plot Twists to pump his ATK to retarded
levels and then break through for lots of
damage. By the time Sabretooth hits the
board, your opponent's endurance should be
wilting significantly, and this guy should
really do some serious damage for you. In
fact, this card is so key to the 4th drop in
the Brotherhood deck, the missing it can
really hurt you. Blob seems to be the other
character you'll see in that slot, and while
decent, Sabre really packs the best wallop in
this aggressive deck.
In limited, you need to be playing a
significant amount of Brotherhood characters
to make him work. This usually isn't a
problem if you plan well since Brotherhood is
one of the main character lines. Then just
hope for a little luck to see this guy in your
hand when it comes time to drop your 4...if
so, smile! Good times.

Simply put this
card is A-maze-ZING! With an added ZING!
In my opinion he
is the best creature in the game for his cost.
Turn 4 with a
Savage Beatdown and Savage Land this guy turns
into a Savage Beating.
The only reason
this guy isn't a 5 in constructed is that you
must play somewhat heavy brotherhood in order
to get him out and abuse him to his full
ability.
The only reason he
isn't a 5 in Limited is that you may not get
enough Brotherhood characters to get him out
as early as possible, but if he comes out on
turn 4 with initiative, you may want to cry,
Lord knows I have.

This character has the single largest attack
value when it comes to four drops. Wolverine,
New Fantastic Four could potentially attack with
an attack value of 13 but he’s not as reliable
as this character. His 11 ATK, 7 DEF stats for a
four drop make him one of the biggest beat
sticks and one of the major reasons why
Brotherhood decks are taking your opponent out
with in 6 turns. The only draw back on this card
is that you have to discard another Brotherhood
character from your hand to recruit him but I’ve
never seen that small effect keep someone from
play thins character or from being able to
recruit him.
All in all this character has a lot of power
behind him and is a monster in the right deck….
which is just about any Brotherhood deck. 0.o
4/5
Limited
hmmm… other than the fact that you probably
won’t get to see him in this environment, he’s
still pretty amazing in Limited. The only thing
you can do is pray that your opponent doesn’t
get lucky enough to pull him or you’ll be in for
a painful surprise. When it comes to this format
his stats and low recruit costs speak for
themselves. His small draw back is almost
insignificant in this format because you’ll have
more characters in your deck, all you have to do
is get lucky enough to pull him and pray that
your opponent doesn’t kill you for playing him
turn 4.

Not much can be
said about Sabretooth [Feral Rage] that
hasn't already been said. Tooth and Savage
Beatdown are by far the most costly cards to
buy in singles, and the most sought-after
trades in the game. This is not without
good reason, Sabretooth is easily the best 4
cost character in the game and probably the
best "pound for pound" overall character as
well. Unfortunately, he can't simply be
played in any deck. The only drawback to
this amazing card is that you must discard a
brotherhood character card from your hand
when he comes into play, not that it
matters, since the brotherhood is the most
aggressive character type in the game.
So here you have Sabretooth with a 4
resource requirement at 11 attack and 7
defense, when the next best 4 resource
character is Titania with 7 attack and 8
defense... see the difference? It would be
a sin to rate this card any lower than 4.5
when 5 means that if you don't play 4 of
that card in every deck then you shouldn't
be playing in tournaments.
Limited
Sabretooth loses a
little power in limited only because
dropping him will be alot harder when you
don't have access to 4 of every brotherhood
card. He would still be an amazing 1st pick
but would force you to take many subpar
brotherhood cards if you wanted to play him
correctly and consistantly.

Sabretooth, Feral
Rage --
Sick, sick, sick, sick...SICK! Hands down,
Sabretooth, Feral Rage is the *BEST* character
in the set. Discarding a Brotherhood card from
your hand is not nearly big enough of a
drawback, especially when you (as a Brotherhood
player) have access to cards like Avalon. He
singlehandedly makes me want to play a
Brotherhood deck...just so I can experience
playing this monster. This is one of only two or
three cards in Marvel that I can even consider
giving a 5.0 rating.
In limited, he is still a great option, but the
drawback is a bit greater since you have to
concentrate your deck strategy a bit more. If
you pop him in the last pack and you haven't
picked up any Brotherhood, he isn't too stellar,
but you might counter-draft him just so you
don't get mauled.
