Time Platform
Today we are going
to move on to an interesting piece of equipment
– Time Platform. I have a feeling that this
equipment was designed to stifle the uproar
caused when Fizzle hit the scene. Now everyone
has the chance to run their own version of
Fizzle, no matter what deck they choose to run.
The question is…should you?
The answer is simply
this: Unless you are running a straight
fantastic four deck, stay away from this card.
Why? Well let’s look at the pros and cons…
Pros:
-This equipment is
transferable.
-With this card in
play, you essentially have a Fizzle on the field
and this means that you can take out any
non-ongoing plot twist *cough*Savage Beatdown*cough*.
Cons:
-Too expensive to
play unless you have characters, plot twists, or
locations that allow you to get this equipment
when you need it and play it cheaper. (Can we
say straight FF deck?)
-This card is
unique.
-This card is a
rare.
So now I am going to
insert a short rant…..I would have thought that
if the game designers would have decided to even
the playing field after releasing Fizzle, that
they would have at least produced a card that I
could 1.) get my hands on relatively cheaply or
2.) made it so that I could actually play this
card in a deck outside of Fantastic Four with
relative ease! Shame on you Upperdeck!!!.......Whew,
now I feel better!
Bottom Line: If you
are not able to get your hands on four of these
cards don’t worry about it. You will probably
want to run 2-3 of these cards in a weenie rush
deck or mono-FF deck. Common Enemy decks
probably shouldn’t bother simply due to lack of
room. Coming from someone who plays Fizzle, I
would say that the effect is nice, but it isn’t
necessarily game breaking.
Ratings:
Constructed –
2.0/5.0 ….This card has an awesome effect, but
is too expensive to play in many decks.
Limited – 2.5/5.0
…..You might get a better opportunity to get
this card on the field.
