What’s the only thing better than dragons? More dragons. Of course, that probably has a lot to do with whether or not the dragons are on your side, and when that’s what you’re after, Miirym delivers. It’s notable that he’s strong on his own, even outside of a dragon tribal deck and their selection of comes-into-play abilities and haste creatures. This isn’t always a feature of the most powerful tribal cards, so I don’t doubt that he’ll be popular to build around. The only wrinkle is for Commander, where it might not be clear whether he’s best as a general himself or as part of a deck like the Ur-Dragon.

Constructed: 2/5
Casual: 5/5
Limited: 5/5 (look at those stats, plus all the common and uncommon dragonborn creatures in Battle for Baldur’s Gate)
Multiplayer: 4/5
Commander [EDH]: 4/5

Dragons are a tribe notorious for not being particularly cheap, so Miirym is a way to eke a bit more out of that investment by bringing another swooping friend along for the ride whenever you bring out a nontoken Dragon. Because the only thing better than one Dragon is thirteen of them. Temur colors opens up a lot of possibilities (even if it would exclude some high-profile dragons that might really abuse the effect), though I suppose Miirym works just fine in the 99 of a five-color deck! He’s also a solid enough body, with soft protection and solid stats to really enact the swooping apocalypse, and imagine combining this with Ancient Copper Dragon. If you want to impress on your opponents that swooping is bad, you can do far worse than the sentinel wyrm here.

Constructed: 2 (he’d probably only be useful in a Dragonstorm deck, but those have enough problems working as-is)
Casual: 5
Limited: 5 (strong on his own, brutal with more dragons to double)
Multiplayer: 4
Commander [EDH]: 4.5
