N.'s End Hello again, it's me, Mr. N. Jolly with another cool deck. This time I'm tooling around with an Anbu/Uchiha Mill deck, a fun idea that I've been thinking about doing for some time, which might mean I'll just turn around and build it after.
Turn 0
T0 -1 Shino-Backup
+1 Shino-Insect Warrior
Shino-IW is just a great card, although I love seeing Shino-Backup in decks, he's my fav non IW pick. I would have liked to have taken our Sakura as well, but seeing as we'll be placing Sai in the deck, Saikura is just too good a ninja to hit.
T1 Good to go! Everything here seems to be working towards theme, so go with it!
T2 +2 Shikamaru-Unwillingness
Now generally I don't like to suggest meta cards for decks like this, but one of your main focuses is swinging with your Anbu Ninja to mill, and being able to hold back their best team to swing in with more seems like a great move.
T3 -2 Ninja Dogs Assembled-Howl -2 Tobi-The Man of Mystery
The dogs were cut because honestly, they're not helping anyone other than the lackluster squad.. The only thing they could search would be Akamaru, and if he wasn't Kiba searched, then you've already lost. Tobi on the other hand...I'm not the biggest fan of Tobi. Using him to charge for a permanent mission and then ambushing him into play creates no new chakra, and he doesn't add anything to the milling theme. His spot in the deck could easily be swapped out for...
T4 +1 Fugaku-Representative of the Clan +1 Sai-Envoy from the Foundation
I felt like the deck was lacking in Uchiha to set off Secrets, so I figured Fugaku would be a good addition as well as another Sense of Fear user. For Sai...well, Sai is both a Foundation member, and one half of the best squad in the game, so including him was really just a matter of finding room. And just so you know, Sasuke-For the Aim is the correct one to run in this deck; his Jonin rank gives him access to just about every jutsu in the deck, making him perfect for this build.
T5
I'm assuming you're running three Promo Itachi here, but if not, it's an obvious call.
Jutsu -2 Sharingan Eye (Path) -1 Copy Ninjutsu
The reason for this is you have too many jutsu in the deck, and Crow Clone Jutsu should be your main negation. Having both in deck doesn't really help, so we'll just cut it out. We're cutting a Copy Ninjutsu, and normally I wouldn't even run 1, but with jutsu like Amaterasu around, I can see why you'd have to pull back specific ones, so I guess it's okay for this build. I'd probably run Trigram over it, but that's just my personal preference.
Missions +1 Just Like Drifting Clouds +1 Suprise
Honeslty, JLDC is an auto include in any fire deck for me, so this was not a hard call at all. As for Suprise, it's a good draw card, which the deck seems to be lacking, and another chance to get an Anbu into chakra for Kakashi's effect to activate.
Clients +1 Teyaki Uchiha
And finally, let's add another Uchiha to deck to both increase draw and give another chance to hit Secrets of the Uchiha. Nothing says synergy better than drawing a card and milling your opponent just for playing a ninja!
Squad -2 Kakashi Hatake & Pakkun +1 Sakura Haruno & Sai
Not really a fix, but something that has to be done now. With Saikura forcing things into battle, you have even more chances to activate Underground Organization, milling your opponents both on their turn and yours.
So let's see how the deck looks now:
T0
2xShino-Back up 2xShikamaru Nara Unwillingness
T3
1xSasuke-For the Aim 1xSai-Envoy From the Foundation
Turn 5
3xUnderground Organization Clients 1xTeyaki Uchiha
Squads While I don't like the thought of running a client with Sai, the deck can handle it, and honestly, this build should really help get the milling on track a lot faster while giving it the power to handle opponents when things don't start right away.
Well, this was N. Jolly looking at a Mill deck, so send me in more of your decks (Especially the non-meta ones!) and I'll try to help you out. And I'll be enlisting the help of several other authorities in the Naruto CCG, such as Password from the Bandai Boards to give me a hand when a deck fits his specialties better than mine (read: Water).
Always N.credible, N. Jolly & Team Thanatos
