Kunai
Pros: +2/+0
Top Deck FTW
Cons: Specific Lightning Cost
No +Support
Ok, this might be one of the really cool cards
coming out in the new set. With a Tenten that
doesn’t need to pay the chakra cost of Kunai and
Earth having Leaf Village Forces this makes this
card an easy +1 in card advantage in an
Earth/Lightning Genin Rush deck. Now it’s not
exactly game breaking but you’re still getting a new
card every turn and your Tenten is staying big.
Personally I’d run this Kunai over the other in a
Lightening deck but the original is still stable in
any other deck type you splash it in. This card can
also make Tenten a winner by herself with Combo of
16 Hits, for free.
Constructed: 4/5 (Kunai’s good in whatever form you
have it in)
Limited: 4/5 (Awesome in a Lightening build)

Kunai
The Good
-+2 Combat Boost
-One Chakra
-Deck Replenishment
The Bad
-Specific Cost
-No support boost
-Loss of Chakra
Here's a spin on a card that's already done right,
Kunai. Now with our original Kunai, we get a +2/+2
for one colorless, and it's just great. This one
only gives a combat boost, and has a specific
lightning cost, making it impossible to splash. But
this Kunai can boomerang back to the deck,
making...some sense? It works with Ten Ten support
cards, but no one runs those, and it's just a bad
idea. There's really not a lot to say about this
card, other than don't run it, run the POTH Kunai
instead.

Today's card, kiddies, is
a remake of an ol' goodie, from the upcoming Revenge
and Rebirth set, coming out next year:
Kunai-Uncommon Lightning Jutsu; Costs: Lightning
Target: User
Effect: The target gets +2/+0 during this turn.
After applying this effect, you can move this card
to the top of its original owner's Deck instead of
your Chakra area.
The original Kunai (J-001) was a 1 cost Lightning
Jutsu, and was able to fit into any deck since the
cost for it was any 1 Chakra, and that's all there
was to it. However, this new version of Kunai seems
to have me in a bit of a bind...I'm liking the fact
that it's now specifically cost, making it a good
fit for Lightning decks all around, but the fact
that it can bounce back to the top of your Deck is
the effect that gives me the willies, so to speak.
Don't get me wrong, I know that Tenten (N-096) from
the Curse of Sand allows you to play any "Kunai"
card for free, and with this new one, it could open
up some new posibilites. It also serves as a good
Battle Reward buffer. If you'd normally be unsure of
what card you'd lose to an opponent's attack, now
you can make a calculated risk, see if it's
beneficial to thin out your deck, in a bad way
though... Overall, I can't wait for this card to
come out, and abuse it in my Tai-Deck, but like the
rest of Naruto's faithful fans, we've all gotta wait
for next year...
Constructed: 3/5
Limited: 3.5/5 (Slightly better, but hold off on
making any drastic deck changes, till you see what
other cards come out)
Have a great weekend everyone, and don't forget your
X-mas shoppin!
