As the new ‘Curse of the Sand’ booster set’s
arrival, new deck strategy will arise. So this week
we’re looking at some of the card will might help in
dealing with these strategies.
If you have read card list for Curse of the Sand,
you’ll notice a new archetype of cards are starting
to appear, Mill cards. For those who doesn’t know
The term ‘Mill’ is referring to the strategy where a
player tries to make his / her opponent run out of
cards to draw in order to win.
At first glance it might seem that this card will
‘reset’ the game and therefore waste your opponent
efforts to ‘mill’ your deck. However, if you pay
closer attention, this card affects both players
discard pile. Therefore if you’re playing again a
Mill deck, you just give them back all their option
to mill you deck and now you’re 2 card short in your
hand.
I’m not sure this card is worth playing at the
moment. I mean if you have only 1 card in your deck
and they have 10, this would be a good desperation
card. But even in that situation you’ll be in a
disadvantage, so I would recommend that you look
else where if you’re worry about mill decks.
Some other cards you might want to consider when
playing mill would be Broken Heart, which destroys
the heart of mill decks: Leaf Ninja Forces. That’s a
much more effective card than A Kind Teacher.
