Choji Akamichi [Formation]
Pro:
-Turn 0
-valid effect
Con:
-weak stats
The last of the team, the meat. He is the favorite
of many people after what he did in the anime. In
the game, however, he doesn't have much use, at
least not yet.
General-
He is a 2/0 which is low for an attacker. He also
can be 4/0 when ino and shikamaru is there with him.
This version is only good when you are using the
team. Even if you are using the team, the [chubby]
version is a better choice. Sure, the team with all
three [Formation] have 9 team power and 5 mental
power, but using the [chubby] version will only
reduce the power by 1. Also when you don't have all
three in your hand, [chubby] choji can still be
versatile.
So far I don't really like these versions of choji.
Until the version where he shows us why we love him
comes, I don't think I'll use him.
Constructed: 4.0/5 (formation deck)
Constructed: 2.0/5 (any where else)
Limited: 3.0/5 (ninjas with power is appreciated)

Hmm...methinks if you're
going to run Choji, you should probably go with the
PtH version. I don't really like the version that's
forthcoming in Curse, so Chubby still gets my vote.
This version of the "fat one" is only good when
paired with the other two from the formation. Also,
his effect is valid, and that's always a plus.
However, the Chubby version pumps itself up whenever
it attacks, regardless of who's in his squad...(if
he's healthy).
Long story short, if you're running a Genin Rush
deck with an emphasis on the formation (re: Why?),
run one copy of this and two Chubbies.
Constructed Formation: 5/5
Constructed G.R.: 3/5
Limited: 3/5 (Chubby is better in this format)

Choji Akamichi [Formation]
Three different ninjas all with different effects
but an effect name in common, he's part three of
this squad of DOOM! 2/0 - 0/0 - M0 is standard Choji
stats that we will see FOREVER. And each of those
will also carry the Combat Type of Food. So this
plump Ninja's effect has gotta have something to do
with his squadmates Ino-pig and lazybones. Well,
this is true, he gains +2/+0. Meaning on Turn 2,
with the trio out in a team, you have Team power 9.
The chances of a team that trumps a Power 9 that
eary is LOW. However after the first two are played
they might try to just blindside you with hurt. Two
or three weenie teams that can trump a team power 3
will happen.
There is more to this team than just a nice Combat
power, they get other advantages as well... (Yes,
foreshadowing for tomorrow.)
Anyway, back to Choji himself. His stats are okay,
but of the trio he's the one NOT tossed into mental
decks to help aid out the smart guy Shikamaru. His
Chubby form gets that because his +1 is constant on
offense, and is a nice Turn 0 for Earth. Usually
leading to either a Team Power of 8 (Offensive) and
7 (Defensive) if they got a ISC team out there.
However in a true blue InoShikaCho deck he gets top
rating... till October.
Choji Akamichi rating - 3/5
Constructed rating (InoShikaCho) - 5/5
Limited rating - 1/5
Art - 3.5/5 (FEAR THE FAT MAN!)

Choji Akimichi
Leaf|Genin|Male|
Turn 0 Cost 0
Healthy stats: 2/0
Injured stats: 0/0
Element: Earth
Rarity: Uncommon
Combat attribute: Food
[FORMATION!]
VALID: This Ninja get +2/+0 when “Ino Yamanaka” and
“Shikamaru Nara” are in this Ninja’s Team.
HORRAY FOR BIG PEOPLE! This Choji can become
powerful when combined with the rest of Team Asuma.
He’s a good beat stick for a Turn 0. Once combined
with the other members, he becomes a 4/0 attacker!
He would be the front man for the Team. Once
injured, he’ll still retain his Combat boost. Even
when not with Team Asuma, he is a good card when
used for Agro purposes.
Choji works well in a couple of decks. He fits in
the obvious Ino-Shika-Cho deck, since he’s IS part
of the team. And, in an Earth Agro Deck, he can be
use as a chump blocker or early beat stick. Try him
out and see how he works for you.
Constructed: 3/5 Not bad.
Limited: 3/5 Good attacker for an early turn card.
