Rare
As we continue our look at Curse of the Sand ninjas,
we come to Might Guy, Passionate Teacher. This one
has some potential in a focused combo deck as a big
version of Rock Lee. Obviously, the main point here
is to use 8 Inner Gates or Hidden/Primary Lotus with
a tougher ninja than the noble green Genin. The bad
thing behind the Lotus cards is that they require
coin flips to get any kind of positive effect, and
they cost a lot of chakra, albeit colorless. The
best one is 8 Inner Gates, which can TRIPLE Might
Guy's combat to at least 18. Pretty darn fearsome.
Then, it goes to a respectable 5 injured combat. Try
it out if you want to say: Gate of Life, OPEN! lol.
Constructed: 2/5
Limited: 4/5: Strong jonin, and who knows, you may
get some Lotus cards or 8 inner gates if you're
lucky

Our final card of the day
this week is Might Guy, Passionate Teacher, a
must-have for decks built around Taijutsu and Rock
Lee. Guy is a 6/0 healthy and 5/0 injured with
Taijutsu and Jonin so he can use Jonin level Jutsu.
This version of Guy adds another ninja that can use
Hidden Lotus, 8 Inner Gates and Primary Lotus, and
the more ninja that can use a Jutsu the better.
Outside of a Rock Lee Taijutsu deck, Guy is a big
ninja with no support who will end up being Head
Ninja most of the time.
Limited:3/5(even if you didn't pull Rock Lee's
Jutsus, you still have a good ninja)
Constructed:3/5(especially if you want to make a
Rock Lee deck)
Beastly Mage
Beastly
Mage reporting in. Today's card is Might Guy
[Passionate Teacher]. His effect is pretty simple:
any technique that requires you to use Rock Lee he
can use... and it's valid! Now, should you run this
other than the Guy from PotH? Both are good, but
this one is better. This version of Guy-Sensei + The
Eight Inner Gates = Ouch for your opponent. This
Ninja truly shines in a Taijutsu deck. Try it and
see.

Valid: This Ninja can use Jutsu cards with
"Requirements: Rock Lee."

Might Guy, or "Maito Gai" as some of the adamant
fans of the original manga prefer, is a powerful 5
drop with great injured stats. Like yesterday's
card, Lightning isn't the most supported element in
the game, and unlike Jiraiya, this guy only fits
into "Rock Lee" and Taijutsu theme decks. The
problem with cards with specific requirements like
Sasuke's Lion Combo or Kakashi's Lightning Blade is
that it's difficult to consistently have the right
ninja in play when you need it. Maito Gai (I'm
sorry, I can't stand some of the english names)
somewhat relieves the pressure of having Rock Lee in
play to use his "Lotus" jutsus, making him a rather
valuable Jonin to put in your Taijutsu deck.
Everywhere else, he's strong but the lack of truly
"broken" Lightning cards cause him to fall short of
other Jonin like Kakashi Hatake [Early Settlement]
and Zabuza Momochi [Demon of Cloud Village]

What can I say? Decent in a lightning deck,
excellent in a Lee deck. Oh yeah, and this guy with
The Eight Inner Gates = 18 power.
