Kabuto Yakushi [Spy]
Hmm... a Medichal ninja...
Stats are meh, effect is meh... He does let you know
what's on top of your opponent's deck, which can be
good with certain jutsu/missions, but no reason
whatsoever to use him over Covert Operative or even
Impact of the Jutsu. Kabuto is getting to be like
Kakashi...

Thursday's card is Kabuto,
Spy, another rare ninja from Eternal Rivalry. This
Kabuto is in my opinion pretty good, especially the
sucess I've seen with Shino Aburame, Tracking from
Eternal Rivalry. For a chakra, Kabuto can rearrange
the top three cards of your opponent's deck in any
order you like. While you can only do this during
the Mission Phase, you could potentially get two of
your opponent's key cards as Battle Rewards. It's
very similar to the afformentioned Shino. Kabuto's
effect could be risky but play in your favor as his
effect never goes away if you use it right. However,
Shino's ability activates when you really want it
too, during Battle when you stand to win Battle
Rewards. It's not as good as Covert Operative or
Impact of the Jutsu, but if you have the right
setup, this version of Kabuto can help you control
what cards you let your opponent draw turn after
turn, always a good thing.
Limited; 3/5(It's not bad but not as good as some of
the other Turn 5s in eternal Rivalry)
Constructed:3/5(Kabuto has potential, but you may
want to use his other versions more)

Hello, Naruto fans. Today's card is Kabuto (Spy),
another US exclusive card. This one is pretty good.
Discard one Chakra to look into the top three cards
of your opponent's deck? Yes, please! He doesn't
have the great stats that CO has, but he's still
decent for a Jonin. He's also got the mental stats,
and the Medical status. Not much more to say about
this guy.
Today we look at the Rare version of Kabuto from
Eternal Rivalry. He's another turn 5 for water,
which already has too many turn 5's as it is. Let's
see how this Kabuto stacks up with the rest of the
competition. Unlike Kabuto's first version with
stats of 6/3 in healthy, the past two have had a
5/2, which is mediocre at best when it's a turn 5.
He has the same attributes as usual, which is always
nice. Next, we'll move to what makes a card a card
in this game, and that's always the effect. At first
glance, you can see that the effect isn't valid,
which is never good. For his effect, during your
mission phase, you can discard 1 chakra to rearrange
the top 3 cards of your opponent's deck in any
order. So basically, you can have them drawing jank
upon jank over and over as long as you have the
chakra to do so. I like the effect as it helps you
gain some advantage, but Kabuto is too weak for a
turn
5 character. It might be fun to try him out and see
how good he is, but I don't see him making the cut
for turn 5's in water. In limited, he'd definitely
be very fun to use against your opponent.
