Kotestsu Hagane
[Spectator]
Hey guys and gals, I'm back for a quick review. With
some R&R previews, we work with Kotetsu Hagane, AKA
nameless proctor #6.
PROS:
*Fire
*Can boost
CONS:
*Mediocre stats
*Not huge boost
Basically if you discard the top card of your deck,
you give +1/+0 to any ninja. Not a huge boost, but
may be useful if you want to get in a little extra
damage. His stats aren't great, and his injured
stats aren't either.
LIMITED: 2/5. May be useful.
CONSTRUCTED: 1/5. Fire has many other good cards
that you'll fill up the 25 limit pretty quickly.
ART: 3/5. Kotetsu looks pretty cool for a nameless
proctor.
Stryker
Hey all, and welcome to
another week of our Naruto COTD reviews. Kicking off
the week, we take a close look at:
Kotetsu Hagane-Common Fire Ninja; Costs: 2-0; 3/1,
2/1; Leaf/Chunin/Male
[Spectator] While this Ninja is a Stand-By Ninja,
you can discard the top card of your Deck to give
+1/+0 to 1 of your Battling Ninjas.
Now, this is a newer version of the Kotetsu seen in
the Coils of the Snake (N-050), and already, his
characteristics are the first thing you notice about
him. Losing the Proctor status and Mental Power make
him slightly less usable than his vanilla
counterpart, but the effect is an interesting one.
At the cost of the top card of your Deck, you're
able to pump up one of your Ninjas by adding 1 to
their Combat, and 0 to their support. Essentially
the effect is mostly there for your Head Ninja, be
it whoever, and can pretty much help out once in a
while, but remember that Kotetsu himself has to be
in Stand-By status, or the effect is negated, or
non-usable.
Constructed: 2/5 (Better than vanilla version, use
in Mono-Fire)
Limited: 3/5

Kotetsu Hagane
Well we kick off a new week with another card from
the upcoming set revenge and rebirth.
Kotetsu Hagane
Symbol: Fire
Characteristics: Leaf | Chunin | Male
Entrance Cost: 2
Hand Cost: 0
Combat Attribute: Ninjutsu
Healthy Stats: 3/1
Injured Stats: 2/1
Effect:
. [Spectator]
While this ninja is a stand-by ninja, you can
discard the top card of your deck to give +1/+0 to 1
of your battling ninjas.
This is a very good support card. It has an ok 3/1
healthy for a turn 2, it's a fire, which is good,
and you are able to boost 1 of your battling ninja's
a +1 boost, which can turn the tide in a battle.
However this does cost you a card from the top of
your deck, so it's an effect you really don't want
to be using every turn. Also if this guy is out
on the field on his own you lose his advantage.
My advice is that I recommend that fire decks should
try him out because he does have a lot of potential.
Standard stats for a two-drop, but since optional
effects are now once per turn, and especially since
he can't actually be in the battle, this guy is kind
of meh. If his effect was valid, he'd be a bit
better, as you could use the effect to boost other
teams when he wouldn't do you any good; but as it
is, in the beginning of the game, it's a race to
build a big team, and the turn two drop is the third
ninja you can play.
There are better two drops.
Constructed: 2/5
Sealed: 3/5
Art: 2/5 meh
Raij
Kotetsu Hagane: Spectator
Hey its Raij here with my first card of the day.
Here goes noting.
Kotetsu has pretty decent stats for turn 2, and an
ability to pump one of your ninjas by +1/+0. Not all
that impressive if you ask me. It could make the
difference if you're tied with your opponent, but
other than that I dont see it being too game
breaking. The discard from the top of your deck isnt
really a big deal either as no one runs a mill deck.
If you need a turn 2 fire, use Mozuku instead.
