Why this is part wind is beyond me. It's a very good
effect; stick it on a powerful team, and you'll get
the effect if you win or if it's removed by Trigram,
Giant Vortex, Great Breakthrough, etc.; not only
does your opponent lose a battle reward, you gain a
card. It has decent stats and a mental status of 4
to boot, and both ninjas are ran in threes in Earth
decks.

Effect: When this Ninja wins a victory, outstanding
victory, or is removed from play, you can look at
all your opponent's battle rewards, if any, select 1
card among them, and place it in your hand.
Super Rare
In my opinion, this Platoon truly warrants its super
rare status. The effect of this ninja is just so
flexible to activate and can turn an instance of
advantage into even greater advantage that changes
the pace of the game. You pop this guy out, defeat
one of their ninjas, AND you get to put them 1 step
further away from winning and increase your own
options at the same time. Being able to pick and
choose the BR to be returned to your hand is really
sweet. This effect can really turn games around.
Having Mental Power 4 ain't bad, meaning that this
card can be a brutal finisher in a Mental deck. I
highly recommend trying to fit this card into your
decks. I know I want a few copies of this ninja. :)

couple of Shikamarus in the set. However, no Asumas
hurt...

Wednesday is here, along with a new card. Today
we'll be looking at one of the new SR platoons from
the new set. Shogi Match provides you with a fun way
to get rid of your opponent's BR's. If this platoon
wins a victory, outstanding victory, or is removed
from the field, you get a look at the BR's and move
one to your hand. With 6 combat, 4 support, plus 4
mental power you'll probably be doing a lot of that.

Sarutobi[Shogi Match]
Today we are looking at the Super Rare Platoon of
Shikamaru and Asuma. It's a turn 5 Platoon that
maintains Shikamaru's 4 Mental Power, has Asuma's
Jonin rank, and their duel element being an
Earth/Wind card is very good because there will be
some new Earth/Wind decks running around once this
set hits. For a Platoon, their stats are pretty good
being a 6/4 Healthy, and a 3/3 injured.
The stats reminds me of the Second Hokage. This
ninja is probably going to be used more on the
Support side rather than being head Ninja. What
makes this card really good is its effect. When you
win a victory, outstanding victory, or removed from
play via Third Hokage[APW's effect] then you can
look at all of your opponent's battle rewards,
select 1 and place it in your hand. It reminds me
Kakashi[ES's] effect a little bit, but I like this
Platoon's effect better. It could allow you to get a
very powerful late game ninja to your hand or a much
needed Jutsu. The possibilities are endless, which
is awesome. The only drawback with the effect is
it's not Valid, but why would you make them head
ninja to begin with since they have a nice high
support value.
