Effect: Reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. Give 1
damage to the target for each Jutsu or mission card
among them. Return the cards to the top of your
deck. Then, shuffle your deck.
Rare
I hope everyone had a happy Independence Day! The
Jutsu reviews from Dream Legacy continue today with
Hidden Needles, a rare from Dream Legacy.
Like Acid Slime, Hidden Needles can potentially kill
a target in 1 shot, but it is far less reliable due
to its random nature. At the least, it is usable
with a Turn 3 ninja, unlike the Slime which needs
Katsuyu to use. The problem with Hidden Needles is
that a deck is typically 62.5% (25/40) Ninja cards,
which leaves only 15 cards in the deck that can
trigger this Jutsu. It's kind of like how Moegi was
so much better than Udon for the few decks that
wanted early card advantage. The Needles I'd say has
a solid chance of dealing at least 1 damage to the
target, which is fair for 2 chakra. Getting a second
Jutsu or mission isn't that unlikely, but might not
happen as often as you'd like. Getting 3 damage is a
pretty big waste, since it is overkill and you miss
out on the jutsus/missions that were coming up. Go
ahead and try this card if you like Shizune and have
a bit of luck.

Hidden
Needles (j199)
Hope you had a nice 4th of July. ^_^ Today's card
is, like Tuesday's, character specific. It requires
Shizune, and it's not so bad when you look at it.
Select one ninja (again, it doesn't have to be a
battling ninja), show your opponent the top three
cards from your deck, and give that ninja one damage
for every mission or jutsu among those three cards.
Chances are you'll be giving that ninja at least one
damage. It's a bit risky (particularly when you let
your opponent know the next three draws), but it
could be useful.

Today we look at Hidden
Needles, another character specific jutsu for wind
that will see no play. Hidden Needles requires
Shizune, a staple in medical decks, and can
potentially deal 2 damage to an opponent’s ninja for
2 wind chakra. Though that sounds good, it could
also deal just 1 or no damage, becoming a waste of
chakra. On top of that, it also requires Shizune and
will more often than not just end up as a handcost.
Overall, Hidden Needles is an inconsistent card that
will see no play due to its effect being a complete
gamble and its character requirement.

Hidden Needles
Today's Jutsu is Hidden Needles from Dream Legacy.
This might be one of the more useful specific
Jutsu's from the set as you really don't expect it
to see play. For only 2 Wind chakra and the
requirements of Shizune, you can potentially kill a
troublesome ninja. If not, then at least you can
injure a good support ninja like Temari. Even if you
don't run all that many missions or jutsus this card
can come in handy. There's the platoon of Tsunade/Shizune
that can use this or the turn 3 Shizune. I like this
card in female decks and wind decks.
