Monday's card is the new
Rock Lee, High Speed Move from Eternal Rivalry, and
if this week's cards are a sign of what's in the new
set, expect wonderful things. Rock Lee is a Turn 1
Lightning Ninja with basic Lee stats of 3/0 healthy,
0/0 injured. His effects are what make him golden
literally(he's a nice and shiny Super Rare). Jutsus
used by this Rock Lee cannot be negated(screwing
over among things Sharingan Eye and Hidden Mist
Jutsu) and he cannot be returned to your hand by a
Ninja Effect or Jutsu card(screwing over Giant
Vortex Jutsu and 8 Trigrams). Factor in the fact
that you can growth him from any Lee you choose and
you have a really great Ninja. Lightning is starting
to look a whole lot better already.
Limited:5/5(a fantastic ninja, hard to pull but
still fantastic Turn 1)
Constructed: 5/5(probably the best Genin created to
date but may change when the new Naruto and Sasuke
make an appearance)
Beastly Mage
Rock Lee
(N-US020)
Hello, fellow Pojo-Ers. Welcome to US Exclusive
Cards Week. First card this week?: Rock Lee (which
some have dubbed "Broke-Lee"). Two valid effects on
this card. First, no jutsus he performs can be
negated. Second, he can't be removed from the field
by Jutsu or Ninja effects. Now, with his standard
3/0 - 0/0 + Genin stats, he's pretty good. But, with
Request being able to turn him into a Satoosa, he
can perform pretty much any Jutsu you can shake a
stick at. For a Super Rare card, he's pretty good.
He fits quite well into Taijutsu decks, which could
make a big comeback with the new set.

N-US020 Rock Lee (Element:
Lightning)
Entrance Cost: 1 | Hand Cost: 0
Leaf | Genin | Male | Growth
[HIGH SPEED MOVE]
VALID: Jutsu cards used by this Ninja cannot be
negated.
VALID: This Ninja cannot be removed from play by the
effects of your opponent's Ninjas or Jutsu cards.
Health Status: 3/0 | Injured Status: 0/0
This guy's sort of like a mix between a Haku [KG:BT]
and a Gaara [SB] neither of which impacted the meta
too much, but perhaps both those abilities put
together on a turn 1 Ninja will. If you can play
Request For Taking Office (If I recall correctly,
that is the card that turns a ninja into a Satoosa)
you can have your Lee playing Water Style: Giant
Vortex, Dragon Flame Bombs, and other powerful
Jutsus. Since his Jutsus cannot be negated, and he
cannot be removed from play, his Jutsus will always
resolve. Unfortunately Rock Lee cannot do much
without that mission. (Unless you want to play a
pump deck where you can use a bunch of Kunais or
Mass Shadow Clone Jutsus on him without the fear of
being Trigrammed or APW'ed.)
All in all, it's a cool combo card and has a little
bit of evasion. Chances are your opponent won't be
gunning for a Genin anyway, though and the fact that
you need to use a mission on him to make his jutsus
very dangerous weakens him in terms of speed and
reliability.
In limited, he's a Super Rare, he's got decent
Combat, and a little bit of evasion (which may or
may not matter depending on if we get any
bounce/negation cards in ER) so he's a good pick.

This week we get to look
at a lot of the Eternal Rivalry preview cards, and
what better card to start with than the insanely
powerful SR Rock Lee (High Speed Move). This Rock
Lee is incredibly powerful. He’s a 3/0 on turn 1
with possibly the most powerful effects to date: his
jutsus can’t be negated and he can’t be removed from
play by your opponent’s ninja effects or jutsus.
Basically the only way to get rid of him is with
missions like EotD, damage dealing jutsus, or
winning a battle straight which is as lot harder to
do against Lee than it sounds.
Though he doesn’t have the best stats, there are
just so many possibilities jutsu wise with Rock Lee.
You can use Lee specific jutsus like the new Primary
Lotus which can deal one, but often 2, damage to an
opponent’s ninja. Another option is to play the
mission Request for Taking Office on Lee,
permanently making him a Satoosa, allowing him to
use the most played jutsus in the game, un-negated.
For example, Lee could use a Vortex or a Trigram and
your opponent could literally do nothing to stop it.
Lee is an insanely powerful yet balanced ninja that
promises to do a lot about the monotonous Meta by
himself (though the other ER cards won’t hurt).
Limited: 4/5 (Not going to be that many great jutsus
going around, but still very powerful)
Constructed: 4.5/5 (He’s a great card but you really
need him and his specific jutsus or him and Request
for Taking Office to make him powerful, both which
lead to consistency problems)

date)
