Beastly Mage
Kuromaru (n197)
Hey there, Pojo-ers. Today's card is another Ninja
that shines in an animal deck. Kuromaru's got pretty
much the same effect as the first Akamaru, but he's
got better stats. In fact, you'd want him up in
front, but he's useful in the back too. Still, he
solely belongs in the animal deck. And you probably
know how those decks work. Try it and see.
Kuromaru
Now we take a look at Tsume's partner, a wolf with
an eyepatch. That can talk.
It is one of the few cards that let you swarm your
opponent, but that doesn't count for too much when
you can only send out 3 teams. It also has the
potential for dead draws, and can't be used as a
chump blocker. However, it can, apparently, use
jutsu; a pretty good trick when you have no thumbs.
Limited: 2.5/5
Constructed: 2/5

Tuesday's card is Kuromaru
and you can't really talk about Kuromaru without
talking about Monday's card, Tsume Izunuka. When you
play Tsume, you may also play Kuromaru, which is
good because you can play two ninja at once.
However, neither have great stats at turn 4 with
Kuromaru's at 4/something(I could find it if the
link to bandai's card games was working) and Tsume's
4/2 I think. Still, this can definitely be placed in
a Ninja animal deck abusing Fang over Fang and Ninja
Art of Beast Mimicry: All Fours Jutsu with any card
that has the Fang attribute, including the
Nine-Tailed Fox. Ninja animal decks aren't really
playable yet, but we should get a new Kiba, Akamaru
and maybe more Kiba-based Jutsus (don't hold me to it
though).
Limited: 3/5(she's still bigger than most stuff
coming out around Turn 4 and less)
Constructed: 2/5(outside of a Ninja animal deck,
you're more than likely running something else)

Today we get to look at Kuromaru,
Tsume’s partner in crime. Kuromaru is an animal and
the most powerful one so far. He has ok stats but
can’t be sent out to battle by himself. However, if
you have Tsume on the field, he can be played out
side of the 1 ninja per turn restriction allowing
you to play him and Tsume on the same turn, creating
an instant team of 8. Besides stats, he is an
animal and will see play in Kiba mill decks along
with Tsume.
Outside of animal decks, Kuromaru
will see no play. He’s like a worse version of
Kidomaru (worse stats and negative effect) a turn
later and Kidomaru isn’t even a good three drop.
With his bad stats and negative effect, Kuromaru
will see no tournament play outside of obscure theme
decks
