Sonic Fang
Stat cards are already meh, as we discussed last
week with the shurikens; this one, although getting
the most bang for your chakra as of yet, requires a
sound ninja; their numbers are increasing, but
specific requirement jutsus better have a good
effect if they're to be played. Also, this card
targets the opponent's ninja, which can frequently
be stopped by effects.

Friday's card drifts back
to Water with Sonic Fang, a Water Jutsu from those
Sound ninja guys. We got more Sound ninja with the
Sound Four, although I don't think they have the
Sound combat attribute, but Sonic Fang is one of the
least played Water Jutsus. Why? For 2 Chakra of your
choice (most Water Jutsus require only Water chakra
which makes them harder to splash in a deck) you can
reduce the opponent's combat and support by 3. You
need a ninja with the sound attribute, but until I
can confirm that the Sound Four have the Sound
combat attribute (they might not, which wouldn't
surprise me), you got Kin, who can easily go in your
Water deck as one of your Turn 0 ninja, Dosu, which
you should run the Sonic Impact version for the
ability, and Zaku, the least played of the three but
Secret Weapon is another ninja with a card draw
ability. If anything changes this Jutsu's
playability, it is simply that Water has so many
good Jutsus that it is hard to justify adding this
when Water has better. Still, if you want to run a
Water Hybrid deck and need a Water Jutsu that is
splashable, or you just want to be a little
different, run it. -3 support really hurts most
ninja as does the combat reduction.
Limited:3.5/5(Your chances of getting at least Kin
and this are good and getting Dosu means you've
gotten a decent pull).
Constructed:3/5(Run it for fun, originality, or
because you want to).

Hey there! Today's card is Sonic Fang. Now that we
have so many "Sound" combat attribute ninjas this
card can be very helpful. Lowering your opponent's
stats can help. Now, in any other deck, this card
won't help much.
