Amaterasu
Ah yes, the sharingan jutsu of the sun. It requires
Itachi, but since many fire decks will be running
him in twos or threes, that's not that much of a
problem.
As we all know, jutsus that can negate other jutsus
are usually the ones most played. Two fire is
standard. Negating is great. Negating and taking
some of their important jutsus from their hand is
better.
The one fault with this card is that if you chain it
to the first Trigram, they can still chain the
others before this kicks in and takes them all. Oh
well. It still looks pretty good.
Itachi deck: 3.5/5
Fire deck w/ 2 Itachis splashed in: 2/5
Limited: 1/5 Getting this and enough Itachis to make
it worth it? Good luck.

itachi gets better. They try to trigram or vortex
your itachi then use this jutsu and say no and I
would like to see your hand, thank you. I would like
this card more if it was actually obtainable. At my
local all naruto legacy boxes and starters go by by
within there first 3 min in the shop. People sit
there all day playin ds waitin for the boxes to come
and buy the whole thing.
3/5 if u can get a itachi or 2 and one of these.

Friday's card is I think
the best of them all, Amaterasu. While it requires
Itachi and two Fire Chakra, Amaterasu negates a
Jutsu and discards all copies of it in your
opponent's hand. It's kind of like a super Path of
Hokage edition Sharingan Eye, only even more
specific. The discard effect isn't really that
significant, but the chance to take out all copies
of an annoying Jutsu is worth it. The only minus to
this card is that you need Itachi, and that means it
may end up as dead weight in a game.
Limited: 1/5(this is dead weight without Itachi)
Constructed: 2/5(if you own Itachi)

Continuing this week’s trend, today
we look at Amaterasu, probably the weaker of
Itachi’s 2 jutsus. Amaterasu is an over powered
version of Sharingan Eye with the requirement Itachi
Uchiha instead of the usual Sharingan Eye. Never
the less, Amaterasu is still a solid card,
countering your opponents jutsu and discarding all
copies of it in their hand, a solid effect that
could potentially be game changing.
Though it has a good
effect, Amaterasu fails where all of this week’s
cards have failed: Character Requirements.
Amaterasu can only be used by one person and is
therefore limited to decks that are centered around
that one person. Besides that, Itachi has a
stronger jutsu (Tsukuyomi, Nightmare Realm) which
will probably see more play in Itachi themed decks
(more specifically, Itachi Intervention decks).
Overall, Amaterasu is a
pretty good jutsu plagued by character requirements
to a sub par ninja (well, everyone is sub par when
you take the 3rd into equation).
Limited: 1/5 (4/5 if you pull and
Itachi)
Constructed: 1/5 (About a 3/5 in an
Itachi deck)
Art: 1/5 (Lame-O)

Happy Friday, Naruto Fans. Today's card is yet
another Super Rare Jutsu: Amaterasu. Upside is that
this works like the First Sharingan Eye Jutsu card,
since it negates jutsus being played. But it's got a
nice little bonus. You can see your opponent's hand,
and take care of any other similar jutsu cards
there. Hand disruption and negation both in the same
card?! NICE! Problem is that only Itachi can use it,
making it somewhat less playable than Sharingan Eye
from Path. So, if you have Itachi, and need one more
Jutsu, go ahead.

Smitty Sensei
Amaterasu
Element: Fire
Cost: Two Fire
Requirements: "Itachi Uchiha"
Target: 1 Jutsu card being played
Effect: Negate and discard the target. Then,
look at all the cards in your opponent's hand to
discard every Jutsu card with the same name as
the target.
Rarity: Super Rare
It's SmittySensei again to review (in a
hurry) the last of our specific jutsus this
week, Amaterasu!
Wow, I had high hopes for this card, and
ultimately it fell short.
The first problem with this card is the same
problem that plagues a lot of the new cards,
it's character specific. This means you'll have
to run more than one of the required cards to
make it practical, and not everyone has the
money to get the two or three Itachis needed in
this particular case. The second bad part of
this card is that the effect isn't all that
useful. Sure, it's a negation, but I've seen
other cards do it better (Sharingan Eye comes to
mind), and I just think it's unlikely that your
opponent will have more than one copy of the
used Jutsu in their hand. On the bright side of
things it gives you a free look at your
opponent's hand giving you a very decent
advantage.
In limited it's a no, it's requirements are too
stiff. The probability of pulling both required
cards is very slim.
Scores:
Constructed: 3.0 ( good in specific decks, but
it's definitely not a splash card)
Limited: 2.0 ( It's
still an Sr)
Art (not counted in
final score):2.5 ( Itachi looks....odd....here.)
Overall: 2.5!!
Not the best card in
the world, but it's not bad.
Sorry for the rushed
review, I hope I can be a little more helpful
next time. Thanks guys!

Friday, Amaterasu
=============================
Hello fellow Pojoers! Today we got a card for you
Itachi fans, Amaterasu.
Amaterasu
F F
Requirements: "Itachi Uchiha"
Target: 1 Jutsu card being played
Effect: Negate and discard the target. Then, look at
all the cards in your opponent's hand to discard
every Jutsu card with the same name as the target.
+++Pros+++
Jutsu Negation (discard)
Good Cost
---Cons---
Requires specific Ninja
Not the best effect
So, a 'stronger' sharingan eye? But it's not worth
it.
Itachi himself isn't as great; he would be if they
didn't nerf him. Stick with your sharingan eyes over
this. Sorry Itachi fans, but this card isn't worth
it.
