Sakon
[State 1]

Card Number: N-252

Review Date: 11.07.07

Average Card Rating

Constructed: 2.90
Limited: 3.33

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale. 1 being the worst. 3 = average. 5 is the highest rating.

Beastly Mage

Sakon [State 1]

For those of you wondering: Yes! Sakon is a male! Now, on to the review...

Like the cards from the previous two days, this one has the very same effect: discard two Chakras at the start of your turn to place a growth coin on these guys if they don't already have a coin on them. It's pretty good, considering that these Ninjas already have pretty good stats on them. Sound Decks could start working better with these Ninjas.

The First Hokage

Sakon[State 1]

Today we are looking at the Sound 5 Sakon. Sakon is a 4/3 healthy and a 0/1 in injured. For discarding 2 chakra, he gets growth. This allows him to be a 5/4 and a 1/2. The injured stats are horrible, but the healthy stats are pretty nice. I don't think I'd run Sakon over Kidomaru or Tayuya. He's also a Super Rare as well, which isn't that great. You don't need a Sound 5 deck to run him, Mono Water can run them. In limited, this card can be gold since he will be one of the few cards in this set that has 4 support, which will allow for extra power when it's needed. Overall though, I don't think he's that great.

My ratings:

Constructed: 2.5/5
Limited: 3.25/5

Sakon
As with Jirobo, this is good for the turn 3-5 period, then stinks late game. The support ain't bad, but after the effect is used, it is basically a vanilla. Use The Second Hokage if you run water or APW if you run fire/water. Sure, those stats for a turn 3 with a decent effect isn't bad, but if your opponent can get past the two turns that the Sound 4 ninja dominate, then they can probably win.

Constructed: 3/5
Limited: 4/5 (not bad for limited as the support)

3. Sakon (state 1)

High stats for a turn three, but terrible injured stats. The 4/3 is excellent. You can growth this guy, if you somehow manage to get two of them at the same time. The effect is average, you can discard two chakra to give it a permanent +1/+1. Again, good thing about growth is that it works if you are injured.

My ratings:

Constructed: 3.3
Limited: 3

And now we have Sakon [Two-Headed Buttface from Uranus]. Once again, killer stats. Though not as good as Sakon. One more Healthy Support at the cost of all her, I mean HIS, injured stats can't cut it. At all. Come to think of it, I'm really out of ideas to scribble out. The injured stats pretty much destroy her HIS!!!!!!! Potential. Sound Four decks only, kids.

3/5
4.5/5

For all of the Four Sound Ninja:

They take too long to play (if you play all in a row, you won't get the last out until turn 6, and then you'll get run over by Jonins) and I see little point to their effects. Two Chakra for a +1/+1 wasn't great last time I checked. And I don't believe any jutsu in the set has anything to do with them all having growth; if I missed something, I apologize.

Constructed/Limited: 1.5/5
