Beastly Mage
Separation
Welcome to another week of reviews. Today's card is
a strange one (at least in my opinion). You give one
of your opponent's Ninjas two Growth coins after
attaching this card to the target, but the target
can't be included in a team other than the one your
opponent included that Ninja in. This is good to
avoid such things as "Precious Fellow" effects from
activating, but I don't really see much use for this
card. Stopping a Ninja from attacking is far better,
I think.

M-US067 Separation
Today we are taking a look at one of The Chosen's
most overlooked mission cards, "Separation."
Honestly, it's overlooked for a good reason. Who
wants to give their opponent more powerful ninja? I
sure don't. I have four major problems with this
card:
1: Turn 3 entrance cost. I know of a card with the
same entrance cost that does the lock down job
tenfold better than this. Caged Bird. Perhaps you
know of it? This should be a turn 1 at most, mainly
because of it's horrible downside.
2: It's not even a counter, and will still get eaten
by Sandayu, and then they STILL get the coins.
3: Wind has MUCH MUCH better missions for these
turns. Sakura's Decision, Protean, One Morning, and
to a lesser extent, Information Gathering. You don't
need any junk like this taking up mission card
space.
4: It's a RARE. Caged Bird is uncommon. Waste of the
rare slot.
I do however like the art a lot. This was one of my
favorite scenes in the anime where Sakura confesses
her love to Sasuke right before he leaves the
village. For that, I have to give it some credit.
