Chidori

Card Number: J-211

Review Date: 01.17.08

Average Card Rating

Constructed: 2.67
Limited: 3.50

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale. 1 being the worst. 3 = average. 5 is the highest rating.

Beastly Mage

Chidori

This version of the Thousand Birds Technique is pretty good. Not as "Whoa!" as the first Chidori, but still good. Sure, only Sasuke and Kakashi can use it, and it still only gives a +5, but getting a battle reward can be good. This along with Kakashi ES can give you another reward in the same battle. If you have the chance (and an open Chidori spot) use it.

Ratings:

Limited: 4/5 (drafting this this one can be good)
Constructed: 3/5 (the old Chidori can be better at times)
Art: EMO!/5

Alucard of the Abyss

J-211 Chidori

Well, from today on, I am going to stop doing casual reviews for cards unless it is a card that only belongs in casual play (Like 100 Times Greater Power, ect.).

Well, what's to say about this Chidori. It's simple, there are better IMO. Not only is there the ever-so-popular R&R Chidori but there is also the starter Super Rare Chidori which I think is superior to this one.  This Chidori has the same cost, requirements and +5/+0 as most Chidori do, so nothing is new here. What is different from the other Chidori is that you get a BR if you win the Victory or Outstanding Victory. While it is a good effect, it is much better on a ninja than a Jutsu. The majority of the time you will be playing this with Sasuke so the most you are gonna do is score one early Battle Reward. There is another user and that is Kakashi, but with the amount of play that Kakashi [Early Settlement] sees the effect of this Chidori is rather redundant. Much better to stick with the Chidori that injure ninjas like the R&R and Quest for Power Starter Super Rare one.

In limited if you can get a decent amount of Sasuke and Kakashi then go ahead and use this, as it is pretty solid in this format. If not then the card is useless and shouldn't be included in your deck. That's really all there is to say about this card in limited.

Competitive: 3/5 (there are simply better Chidori out there)
Limited: 3/5 (only this high if you can manage to pull some users for it)

Chidori has almost as many versions as those other 100-version craps, so I'm not gonna review this one and just skip to it's comparison with other Chidori cards:
OK effect, way too hard to get (Super)
2/5
