Beastly Mage
Water
Style: Exploding Water Shock Wave
Welcome to another week of reviews. Today's card is
one of Kisame's techniques. This card takes down
both the combat and support of the Ninjas facing the
user by -2. That means that a team of, let's say, 3
can lose up to 6 in team power in a snap. Remember,
only a Jonin or higher Ninja can use it. Could this
be something good for constructed Water Decks? Not
sure, only time will tell.

Water Style: Exploding Water Shock Wave
Hello all you Pojo readers and hope you all had a
great Easter Weekend. And if your Jewish, as am I, I
hope you are enjoying Passover.
Well let's see (tosses thousands of folders in a
dramatic fashion) aha, here it is. Water Style:
Exploding Water Shock Wave or WSEWS is what I
believe to be underrated and probably will end up
underplayed. See WSEWS is a powerful card in it's
own regard but still has drawbacks. For only two
water chakra you can reduce the power of all non
water ninja's, including yours. I feel this card
tries to muscle up next to Series 12 Water Prison
Jutsu but sadly falls short. Now don't get me wrong,
if you run a pure water deck then this is the meal
ticket but otherwise you might want to reconsider.
This could end up perfectly in a Sound 4 deck or an
orichimaru themed deck, anyone thinking Zabuza and
Haku. :)

Today's card is Water Style: Exploding Water
Shockwave, depite the fact that we just got a
version of this card that's good enough. This card
is pretty good, too, but really hard to judge. Since
it's element-specific, you're going to have to side
it. Main deck it and you risk running into another
Water deck and having a dead card. In your side
deck, chances are you've got much better things to
side in than this, and still, you can only fit a
mere 10 cards in there.
2/5 for those reasons.

Monday 4/13 - Water Style: Exploding Water Shock
Wave - Jutsu - Water
I'll admit my knowledge of Water is very limited as
I obviously don't play it, nor play against it very
often, so this review is going to be a bit skewed.
At first glance, the card may seem amazing. Giving
an entire field -2/-2 can lead to OVs in lots of
places. However, unless your entire field is Water,
you also give your non-Water Ninjas -2/-2, so your
field needs to be specifically built as such to give
it full potential. Note with Water's lack of many
good early game Ninjas, likely you'll have a few
splashes in your deck to survive the early game.
The second nitpick I have with the card is that it
seems like you'd have to choose between playing
Water Style: Giant Vortex Jutsu and this. And likely
9 times out of 10, Vortex trumps. Sure it may cost
more, but jettisoning an entire team on top of
winning 2 BRs seems a better plan than MAYBE getting
an OV or possibly injuring a few head Ninja. And
it's an indirect jutsu counter.
As such, I can't say I can see it having a lot of
play. Perhaps sideboard against decks with massive
non-Water Ninjas, and your deck being stacked with
lots of Water guys. Maybe as a 1-of after you've
packed 3 Vortexes? I'd just rather go with 3 Vortex
and call it a day. It's not a completely horrible
card persay, just outclassed and not worth it.
Constructed: 1.9 out of 5.0 (Can't see it being used
over Vortex.)
Limited: 1.0 out of 5.0 (Yeah right.)
