Beastly Mage
Sasuke
Uchiha
This version of Sasuke could be useful in a
dedicated Chidori deck. With Freedori seeing less
and less play (if any at all) this card could be
helpful. Think about it: you have Kakashi on the
field, and you need a big pump-up for him. You put
our favorite Emo boy in play, discard the two "Fire"
Chakras (yes, it's required) and look for Chidori.
Thing is: is it worth it? Could be. I personally run
a Fire deck, and I know of ways to get plenty of
Chakra out early game, but that could be a bit
situational. It all depends on your strategy... and
a bit of luck!

Limited: 1/5 (still, he is a turn 0)

Sasuke Uchiha
[Learning a New Technique]
The Podcast previewed a Naruto Identical to this
Sasuke. This one is just as useless. Here is why.
He’s a turn 0 with a put in play effect that needs
two chakra to use. How often do you have 2 fire
chakra on turn 0 unless you hard charged them?
Imagine you do and you search your Chidori. Now
what? You have no chakra to play it. Best that you
could do is growth into BTL at turn 1, then use it
for free, but that’s soo unlikely. Looks like he’s
gotten over the “Sasuke Syndrome,” because he at
least retains a 1/0 when injured. In limited, he’ll
see some play just because he’s a turn 0, but that’s
it. I’d go for the 4/0 vanilla one before this
though. At least it’s not a rare…
Limited: 3/5 (It’s a 0, and if you can’t get
Vanilla, this can work)
Constructed: 1/5 If you can’t find a better Sasuke
than this, you probably need to take a second look
at your collection.
Art: This art should have been used for almost any
other good Sasuke long ago.
That Guy
Sasuke Uchiha ( Learning a New Technique )
Meet the Sasuke that brings Freedori back on top.
With some of the added fire support cards adjusting
Freedori will be a breeze. For just two chakra you
can grab Chidori, then growth over with Beyond the
Limits and start the cycle of Freedori. Learning a
New Technique is basically the solution to let
Sasuke have free access to his best jutsu and give
you some serious advantage early in the game.
Strategically you would not want to play this first
turn unless you really want to get Chidori or just
like intimidating your opponent. Also, this Sasuke
does not have "Sasuke Syndrome", he's 1/0,
hallelujah.
Constructed: 5/5
Limited: 5/5 (only if there is a Chidori in the next
set)

Sasuke Uchiha [Learning a New Technique]
This is a terrible card. Let's see why:
1. He's an early ninja, who needs you to drop 2
Chakra when deployed
2. You will not have early Chakra
3. 2 Chakra isn't a small cost, anyway.
4. Chidori takes a further 3 Chakra to use.
5. In total, this Sasuke will be eating up 10 Chakra
6. The only Genin Sasuke allowed to use Chidori is
[Beyond the Limit]
So there you go. I thought we were going to get a
great card, but this guy's just horrible. Oh well,
maybe next time, Sasuke. Maybe next time.
1/5 (wish I could go lower)
Art: Meh.
Fun Fact: Boom backwards is moob!

Sasuke Uchiha [Learning a New Technique]
In a Chidori deck, which this card is obviously for,
it's nice to search out a Chidori as early as
possible. The trade-off, however, is that you miss
out on the ability to play that Chidori for free on
Turn 1, as you're not using Sasuke [Beyond the
Limits]. Seeing as Gaara [Tragic Name] is such a
widely used card right now, it's not unlikely that
[Beyond the Limits] won't get to use it's effect.
However, I'd much rather have the option for free
Chidori than not. I could see this being used as a
one-of, but I'd personally just use [Beyond the
Limits] at 3.
Now here we are shown what I believe to the last in
the line of the new
Sasuke's, two being Water, the other two being Fire.
Now this Sasuke's stats, being it's usual 3/0
healthy, but surprisingly having
a 1/0 injured still won't save it. The effect,
letting you go out and pay your two Chakra (HAVING
to be fire, tough enough as it is) when getting put
into play, to search for a Jutsu no one really plays
anymore, makes him get shoved to the bottom of list
of playable Sasuke's. I personally don't care for
him, knowing there are better Sasuke's out there to
play.
The effect let's you look for Chidori, but if people
are playing Chidori, I see them still wanting to
play the fan favorite, "Freedori" Sasuke, because
having to cough up 2 FIRE chakra early game as it
is, makes it where you wouldn't get to play with it,
and just setting up for you to get Temari WS'ed
having you waste
not only chakra but a Jutsu. =/
Limited - 2/5 because he IS a 0 drop, but obviously
people would rather play the Water one.
Constructed - 1/5 SO many other playable Sasuke's.

Tuesday 4/21 - Sasuke Uchiha [Learning a New
Technique] - Ninja - Fire
Amazing picture and neat effect. Problem?
Overshadowed. Sad face.
Freedori already has [Beyond the Limits]. Tempo goes
with [Breaking Off the Connection]. Many decks use
[Complete Opening of the Eyes], while the new Sasuke
in Fateful Reunion will be seen all over (both Water
and Vanilla). Where does that leave this Sasuke? In
the card box. Pretty card though. And he has injured
stats! But so does Vanilla Sasuke.
He also isn't useful as a T0, as you'd have to
virtually hardcharge two cards to search Chidori,
which is -1 card/resource, and then you'd need to
pay its cost, unless you Growth into BTL like a pro.
Yeah right. So no to sad cards, even if they look
awesome.
Constructed: 1.2 out of 5.0 (Sorry.)
Limited: 5.0 out of 5.0 (He's a zero drop that has 3
power and 1 when injured. Any zero with that kind of
stats should be automatically perfect. Anyone who
thinks otherwise... has NO idea what they're talking
about. Unless, of course, you pull 3 Vanilla Sasukes
first. Zero drops in limited are the first things to
pick.)
