Beastly Mage
Kakashi
Hatake (Anbu Days)
Whoa! That's the first thing that came to mind when
I saw this card. The "Anbu Days" part is in his name
and not the effect, so you know what that means. -_o
Now, this is one mean Kakashi. He packs 3 mental,
Ambush, and a nice effect that could make him viable
for Anbu decks. If he's put in play you can put in
play an Anbu Ninja from your discard or Chakra area.
That's kinda like giving Anbu's Ambush. Dunno how
his effect will go off in limited, but you know he's
gonna own in constructed if Anbus become more
playable with this set.

Kakashi Hatake (Anbu Days)
[Mysterious Corps]
Wow, here’s something new, a Kakashi with a
different name. This card is actually pretty decent
for the Anbu rush theme. He comes into play, and
brings a friend with him! Hope you still have some
[Faceless Experts] lying around, might make for some
fun. Throw Yugao in there for more possible
swarming. Also, as an added bonus, this Kakashi has
Ambush! Ambush! On a Kakashi! This is also another
user for the Illusion card we previewed yesterday,
so in limited, he’ll be useful I’m sure. In
constructed, you can use the Anbu Tempo style to
swarm your opponent. Plus, this picture is awesome.
Limited: 4/5 Jonin with no hand cost? Yes please.
Constructed: 4/5 (In the Anbu deck. Use EDTF, ES, or
DOTM anywhere else.)
So Anbu theme it is. This Kakashi is great as you
can run him as well as other Kakashis as he has a
different title, and he put in plays another Anbu.
Granted there aren't many options for that, but we
can make due with what we have as another Ninja
isn't a bad thing.
It does bother me that he's not an Anbu himself, but
that's likely because it would conflict with his
current rank. However, as a T4 with no hand cost,
there's not too much you can complain about. And not
to mention he has Ambush, which makes him amazing...
ditch him and an Anbu as hand costs, and watch them
come from the chakra as indirect hand advantage.
Sounds like a plan.
The only downside is the Anbu archetype itself. Is
it playable yet? Time will tell.
Constructed: 3.8 out of 5.0 (Good card for Anbu
decks, not much else as there are other Kakashis.)
Limited: 4.5 out of 5.0 (He's a non-HC beatstick. Do
the math.)

So today we cover Kakashi Hatake (Anbu Days) from
set 13.
I do like that he has a different name than "Kakashi
Hatake" that's cool. Other than that, I'm a bit
reserved.
Having Ambush is a plus, but with minimal
information about the Anbu archtype, I can say much.
He has an effect similar to the Anbu Days Kakashi
that shocked the world by topping the second Sanin,
but putting in play 1 as opposed to 2 might be a big
deal, we'll just have to wait and see.
I don't like that he lacks the Anbu characteristic,
as it could be very important down the line (a card
that gives all "anbu" ninjas +1 MP or makes them
untargetable comes to mind) but for the time being
it's just something to make me not want to use him.
Overall, it appears that the Anbu archtype is taking
shape, and a center-peice could be in place with
Kakashi, it will just be a matter of time until we
see his true impact
Constructed: 4 out of 5. With all the negitivity
aside, he could make a huge impact on this game.
Art: 2 out of 5. I like flavor text :(

Kakashi Hatake (Anbu Days)
Anbu decks are insane with speed, and Kakashi here
helps. Great stats, and he even has Ambush, which
really helps. There isn't much I can say about this
card since there isn't much to him. Sure he doesn't
count as Kakashi in the deck, but he doesn't have
Growth so you shouldn't really play him in 3s anyway
(like the whole Tsunade/5th Hokage thing). Also,
Kakashi himself doesn't have Anbu, which is a load
of crap because this Kakashi IS an Anbu dude.
Anyway, some great stats and a great effect for
supporting his deck type.
3.7/5
Art: The hand reminds me of Sakura GP, so it's ugly.
Fun Fact: Are we gonna get Towa, Komachi and Kagura?

Kakashi Hatake [Mysterious Corps]
Man, Kakashi just loves calling for back-up. When
this Ninja is put in play, he can fetch another Anbu
Ninja to stand by him, much like [Anbu Days] does
for Ninja Dogs. And his name allows you to run 3 of
this Kakashi and 3 of another Kakashi (because 3 is
never enough). My main problem with this card is the
fact that he doesn't do anything else. What I'm
seeing from the Anbu archetype is the ability to
drop a bunch of Ninja in 1 turn out of nowhere, but
that's about it. I personally would like to see
something that actually makes the Anbu Ninjas
threatening after the initial swarm (to push them
into being more competitively viable than they are
now). Here's hoping. The fact that he has Ambush is
pretty cool too; I wonder if future Anbu Ninja (and
"hero" characters) will have this characteristic.
Limited - 2/5 (Depends on if there are any Anbu in
this set.)
Constructed - 3/5
Artwork - Looks like the Fourth Hokage isn't the
only person pro enough to not have flavor text.
