Beastly Mage
Pressure
This card is a good choice for Mental Power decks.
Why? Think about it: if a Ninja has no MP, or has
less than 0, that Ninja can't battle. So, Sakura,
Shika/Tema and Kabuto can start owning even if your
opponent's got a load of strong Ninjas with no
smarts. But, here's the kicker. If your opponent
wants to get rid of this mission, then a two-card
discard must be done. If your opponent has an empty
hand, that can spell certain (momentary) doom! Try
it and see.

Today's card is a pretty cool one by the name of
Pressure. There's been some buzz about this card and
possibly Attack from the Blind Spots being Rouge
Listed, so let's check it out for a bit: A T1
Earth/Wind Mission, it stops all ninja with 0 or
lower MP from going out to battle. Your opponent can
discard 2 cards during their mission phase to negate
this effect and discard this mission.
Now on face, that's a pretty simple card, but people
are hailing it as win condition. I guess the reason
why is that there are a lot of commonly ran card
with no mental (Sasuke, Choji, Kiba, Naruto, Itachi,
Zabuza, Yoroi, ect...) and being able to hold back
these guys is pretty impressive. But the likely
scenario is that one of these guys is going to be in
your opponent's team during your turn, and playing
Pressure will stop that team from going out, giving
you up to 6 BRs off of one early game card that
isn't hard to play at all. And having a cost of
discarding two cards from hand at any point in the
game is hard to do, making it a great tool to
control your opponent's hand or field. This kind of
power for an early game mission makes it hard to
beat at any point in the game. Played early, it can
shut off a lot of commonly run early game cards;
late game it becomes a win condition.
There's no way to stop this card that doesn't work
on any other permanent mission. Wind/Earth has
Picture Book, Fire/Wind has Sandayu, Lightning has
Anko [Blocking the Ambition], Water has...I'l say
Hiding? And Earth...well, I can't think of anything,
but it probably has something. Bottom line, this is
a great sleeper card that really shook up a lot of
people. I like cards like these, and am looking
forward to seeing what becomes of it in the future
Constructed:4.75/5 It's just awesome
Limited:3/5 It has to be built around a bit

Pressure
This card is absolutely devastating. Some of the
best Ninja in the game lack a
Mental Power score higher than 1, and this card pins
all of them down for the
rest of the game if kept around. I'm glad they give
your opponent a built-in out
to it, otherwise, I could very realistically see
this card changing the way people
construct their decks. We've seen built-in removal
like this on cards like Hinata
in Captivity, in which case, you had the option of
simply waiting out the mission's timer to preserve
your hand size. Pressure doesn't give that kind of
luxury, and with such a powerful effect, you may be
forced to drop 2 cards instantly just to continue to
defend yourself.

Master Wang
Hi homies! Much obliged to be doing my first COTD
for Pojo and am looking forward for the cards ahead,
but enough about me, you want an opinion so let's
hop to it! Ha ha!
Oh my! Quite the first COTD, Pressure. Nobody with 0
or less mental being sent out to battle and
removable by your opponent discarding two from their
hand.
Now, of course, the first two thoughts that come to
people's minds with this card is Mental and/or
Hands-off deck and no doubt it's very applicable
especially since its elements carry the
most/strongest ninjas with mental power in the game.
However, this is a very annoying yet balanced
mission if I've ever seen one. The effect is strong,
yet it's a double edged sword, but despite that if
your deck is constructed well enough, this card is
gonna be a heavy weapon in your deck regardless if
it's out for 1 turn or 5.
Here's the kicker though. It's not exactly exclusive
to be used in Mental/Hands-off decks either. It's a
very nice mission to add in your Medical or tempo
Earth/Wind decks just as a nice defensive measure
considering most of the strongest ninjas in the game
have 0 mental power. This is just an awesome mission
that isn't overpowered in the least and it gives
Wind and Earth a nice push in a meta where Water
seems to be carrying the upper hand.
Limited: 4/5 Not many ninjas have mental power in EA
Constructed: 4/5 Tread carefully if your deck
doesn't have much mental.
