Today we are reviewing the new Hinata from
Foretold Prophecy. First thing I have to say is,
YAY, finally a good turn 3 hinata (the other two
were vanilla, and very conditional).
Her stats are very good, being a 3/3, 3/2. I
would have liked if she lost points in combat when
injured, instead of support. But this is how the
other two turn three Hinatas were, so nothing wrong
with that.
Her characteristics are very good, having chunin,
some mental power, byakugan, and even growth. If you
really wanted, you could run two of the turn 0
hinatas that search your deck for another hinata.
Then, you would have a 4/4 on turn 3, while still
having your deploy for that turn available. However,
it is possible that people want to run this card in
threes, considering its effect is good enough to
warrant it.
When Hinata is put in play, your opponent
randomly selects and discards a card from their
hand. That effect is just amazing. When you drop
this card, you have a legitamate chance of hitting
one of their best cards, considering they have to
randomly choose (well its more like you randomly
choose). Just imagine dropping this on turn 3, and
killing their Itachi Genius in Genjutsu, or Deep
Forest Creation, or really anything else. With this
card, hand control becomes a lot easier to
accomplish. Also, running Naruto/Hinata has become
even easier.
I think this card fits not only in Byakugan
decks, where it should be your best option for
Hinata, but also in any mono earth deck (before
this, Anbu the Foundation could be considered the
premiere turn 3 earth drop). In fact, this card is
highly splashable, and could see play in any element
really.
Constructed: 4.5/5 <--- A very good effect,
combined with very good stats for a turn 3. The only
thing I wish is that she kept her three support when
injured, but that's this card's only weakness.
Limited: 4.75/5 <---- People generally don't have
too many awesome bombs to drop in limited. If you
can kill just one of their best cards, this card has
done its job, and you have just gained a huge
advantage.
