Beastly Mage
Substitution by Insects
Once again, a card that can make the Insect deck
great. It protects all the Ninjas in the user's team
from damage by letting the Substitution coins take
the fall. This is good for blocking and for when
your opponent uses Jutsus or effects that can damage
your Ninjas. In limited, if you draft the right
Ninjas, you're set. In constructed, it's one great
choice.

Substitution by Insects
To be honest? I'd rather run just one of Wind's,
many, normal negation cards. Maybe in a true
dedicated insect deck, but with only two users...
eh. Yeah. Dedicated decks either need MORE users, or
their users have protection effects.
Rating: 2/5 - It has a nice effect, but Wind has a
lot of negation with out a gimmick.

Ew
Ew is a decent Jutsu that will be used in Aburame
decks. I refuse to state that creepy icky other
name. Ew has the unfortunate downside of only having
two users, both of which aren't very strong. Only
one turn to be used, too.
Ew gets 2/5

Tomorrow: Really? Another one!?
Fun Fact: How much wood could Chuck Norris chuck if
Chuck Norris would chuck wood?
The Poo Toucher
Greeting all you true believers, today we coverer a
new jutsu from set 12, Substituton by Insects....
This card is basicly Sand Armor for Inesect users,
it protects said user from 1 damage for 1 wind
chakra.
Honestly, this card leaves a lot to be desired, in a
format where pump and removal are the keys to
victory a damage softener just comes off as a waste
of jutsu space. I could see it being much, much more
useful if either the Bees ninjas from the chosen
(set 9) could use this or if it had more than just 2
users (Shino and Gen)
Super short review today, as I don't have much to
say about this card, other than it's just sub-par.
Constructed: 1 out of 5. Bad cards are......darn
that's catchy (thanks a lot zero :()
Limited: 2 out of 5. it's cheap....that's kinda cool
Art: 4 out of 5. Shino's cool. So Shino+Bugs=cool
Until next time.....ON DRAGON BALL Z! (thought I'd
say something else, didn't ya?)

J-427 Substitution by Insects
A theme card, but one of the weakest there is.
It cost one wind, requires a wind, and gives the
entire team immunity to damage for the turn. This
card could be so cool if the coins didn't leave at
the end of the turn, but it's such a funny response
to SCJ, Chidori, Dragon Flame, and other such cards.
It gives a pretty good effect, and helps power your
insect whirlwind.
All and all, a pretty decent card for insects.
Constructed:2/5Insects aren't good, but hopefully
they will be soon.
Limited:1/5Yeah, theme specific cards aren't good in
limited.
Art:4/5Now this is a cool Shino Shot

Substitution By Insects
I’m glad everyone liked yesterday’s preview card. So
far this week has been great for wind. Today though,
we bring you something for a specific deck, the
insect deck. Now, it’s never been a competitive
decktype, but things may change this set around. The
main theme of the insect deck is to use Shino’s UN3
Jutsu that can bomb your whole opponents field when
enough Insect or Shino jutsu cards are in the
discard pile. So, more options are always good. This
card reminds me of the Gaara specific “Sand Armor”
from Curse, that gave him a permanent sand armor
coin which he could use to stop 1 damage. This stops
all the damage, but only lasts 1 turn. It’s cheap
though, and a quick and easy counter to stuff like
Lightning Blade, Dragon Flame, and 2k. Don’t expect
this card to win you any games though.
Limited: 3/5 Gen and Shino are in the set, so
shouldn’t be too hard to pull off.
Constructed: 2/5 This card really won’t change
anything.
Art: I like Shino, but sometimes, he really creeps
me out.
