Hiding
Today's card is an exclusive card. I must say, I'm
impressed with the new set so far and this card is
no exception.
Hiding is a card that goes well with Mono-Water
decks. When you activate it, you draw a card. Simple
enough, but wait... there's more! During the turn
you activated the card, and the next turn all cards
that are in play that don't have a Water symbol on
them (like, let's say, Shikamaru, Naruto, Kiba &
Akamaru) will get their texts negated... OUCH! (for
your opponent, that is). In limited, you could use
it, even if just for the draw power. In constructed,
however, people are gonna love this card. Try it and
see!

Pojo Preview Card #4
M-474 Hiding
Ok, how long has it been since we’ve seen the Demon
Brothers on a card? In any case, water gets a card
it desperately needed, draw power. Given, this is a
2 for 1 card, but it has that spiffy little bonus of
negating effect texts of things without a water
symbol. Take a second look at that. It doesn’t just
say “ninja” it says “all in play cards.” So, not
only are their ninja negated for 2 turns, but their
The One Who Lives Within, Emina, Futaba, Drifting,
all get negated as well. What I want to know is if
it will count cards that come into play on your
opponents turn, or if it only hits the ones
currently in play when the missions effect is
applied. The best part about this card is that it
can come in handy at ANY time during the game. This
card makes mono-water builds even more viable,
especially with the new turn 0 cards water has
gotten. So far it’s looking like earth and water
will be the best two elements to draft for this set
in limited.
Limited: 4/5 Its uncommon, and there are plenty of
other water cards in the set.
Constructed: 4.5/5 I’m not a water player
personally, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t want
this effect.

...and the last incredible Pojo preview card, the
one you've all been waiting for...you're telling me
we didn't get four tails? A water uncommon? I'm like
two seconds away from just reviewing The First
Hokage again...Fine, for our last card, we have
Hiding.
As much of a problem as I have with this being our
last card, it really isn't that bad at all. It's a
T1 HC1 Water mission when means Kabuto can pull it,
and it's effect allows you draw a card as well as
negate the effects of any non Water Ninja for this
turn and the next. Early game that could get you
through a Shikamaru-Flexibility and Naruto-Control
of Power and late game that'll completely wreck up
most decks that aren't Water. It's a card that I
could see mainboarded in Water that's not running
Ghost Panic (Too many missions already) as a good
anti-Not Water that also nets you a cheap draw.
Constructed:3/5 Above average, but not incredible
yet...
Limited:4.5/5 Cheap easy draw with no strings
attatched

...and to think, if Bandai hadn't had dragged it's
heels doing it's Wind Week, we could have reviewed
Sealing Jutsu: Breaking the Lion's Roar...

Hiding
If this card works the way it reads, it is
absolutely broken and will be Rogue Listed; I
guarantee it. At first, it's just a simple Pet Tora,
which if you'll remember is a 2-for-1 and doesn't
see play these days because it puts you at a -1 and
Fire doesn't have a huge way to really capitalize on
the early chakra. This card is like a Pet Tora +.
Not only do you get to pick up a new card, but for 2
turns, every card (yes, is says "cards" not "ninja")
without a Water symbol has it's effect text negated.
That means no Missions, no Clients, no Ninjas, and
no Jutsu; if it doesn't have a Water symbol, it has
no texts for 2 turns. Now, Bandai is known for
wording their cards poorly which results in some
pretty broken cards (see Might Guy [Dynamic Entry]),
so I'm like 99% sure this card will get an immediate
errata to negate Ninjas effect only. In that case,
I'm going to rate this card with that errata in
mind.
As an avid Water player, I love~ this card. I've
said it before: effects text is a big deal in this
game and a one-sided shut off of those effects can
be a huge slap in the face to your opponent. I could
see this card being used in place of Bingo Book,
which is only really seeing play these days because
it fuels a Turn 1 Furious Current and isn't a
guaranteed -2 like most of Water's early game
missions (Bingo Book can miss). Hiding is guaranteed
to net you a card, and has some pretty sickening
applications late game as well. Your opponent will
be sitting on a field of vanilla ninja for a turn
against your field of Orochimaru/Second Hokages/Kisame/etc.
with all their effects intact. On top of that, this
pushes Water away from using splashes altogether
(however slightly), especially when combined with
cards like Unstable Ground, which tanks a full team
of non-Water ninjas by 6 Team Power. I'm all for
pushing players to use Pure decks (meaning decks
with no splashes) and this card is a welcome
addition.
Limited: 5/5 (There's so many good Water cards in
this set.)
Constructed: 5/5 (If the errata sticks, I'd rate it
4/5 for both formats.)

Hey there guys
and today we have a fresh, awesome preview that's
very good! :D
Hiding M-474
Basically this card says "Bye Bingo Book"
everywhere. It gives you the same card advantage
Bingo book gives you and negates all CARDS that are
not water and obviously your playing water so your
at a big advantage. Note that the negation lasts
during the turn it is activated and the next turn
which is great for a turn 1 mission. It's very good
and adds more variety to water's mission stash which
has grown exponentially in this set. Very good to
say the least.
Limited: 3/5 (Not for many element decks)
Constructed: 4.5/5 (Very good effect but splashes
happen everywhere)
