Beastly Mage
Sasori
Now this Sasori is cool. Why? Ambush, no entry
requirements, and good stats, that's why!
The effect also gets to you. During your Mission
Phase you can discard two Wind Chakras to deploy a
Ninja from your discard pile. Remember, it's a
"Deployment" and not a "Put In Play" effect, so you
probably can't use this effect at the turn this
guy's deployed. After that the revived Ninja is
removed from play, so it's a bit of a one shot deal
for that Ninja. In the right deck, this Sasori can
own. Try it and see!

Sasori [The Best Toy]
This card is pretty much the best Sasori, and a
welcomed addition to Winds Turn 5 slot. When wind of
this card's effect got out, people instantly saw his
syngery with put in play effects like Naruto [Like
Whirlwind] and Temari [Wind Scythe], as well as
missions like Substitution. He also feeds Gaara
[Tragic Name] ninjas to chuck at your opponent for
damage. Fun stuff.

How's it going guys and gals, today we're
reviewing
N-542 Sasori[The Best Toy]
Ahhhh Sasori, a great Akatsuki ninja and this one
lives up to that title. It has many nicknames in the
local hobby leagues, call him "Boy Toy" or "Jesus"
however people want to call him he's a good card,
let's take a look at him shall we?
He's a turn 5 "Wind" ninja with the "Jonin"
attribute, Ambush, Mental Power:3, Puppet Master,
Manipulation and the Akatsuki status lets him use a
few nifty jutsus, but that's not the point. Right
off the bat we see he has solid stats (H:5/3, I:3/3)
he's a good support all around and that's what he's
meant to be nonetheless.
Now let's look at the strong point of this card
which is his effect, by discarding 2 "Wind" Chakras
you can deploy(not put in play, so handcosts are
met) any ninja from your discard pile... nice! This
effect has a LOT of potential, for example, re-using
a Third Hokage[APW], a Third Hokage[GLTV], Shino[IW]
and the list goes on and on. The down side to this
effect is at the end of the turn, the revived ninja
is removed from play, in other words, it goes bye
bye for good this time. Now how could you abbuse
this effect? Easily, platoon or squad the ninja you
just revived, now the revived ninja is not
considered to "be in play" at the end of the turn
therefore you keep the ninja you just squad'gd or
platoon'd. A very nasty effect, although not valid,
if used correctly and in one of the strongest
elements currently in the game.
He has a great effect all around and there's a
chance that a deck could be built around him in the
near future, who knows what could happen, but
potential is here and surely this is easily noted by
how expensive he is and the demand for him as well.
Limited: 3/5 (pull off enough wind and he's good to
go, not probable that the effect will fire off as it
should but you know)
Constructed: 4/5 (a nice card all around, but he's
not perfect, valid on him would've gotten a 5)
