Beastly Mage
Yura
Today's card is Yura [The Brain of the Sand]. Kinda
odd that he would be called "Brain" when he doesn't
have any mental power. (insert "confused" smiley
here)
Yura's effect makes him good for Sand decks. Every
"Sand" Ninja in your hand gets -1 hand cost. That
means yesterday's Temari can come in play with no
cost, same for other cards such as the Fifth
Kazekage and other big Sand Ninjas. In limited he
would probably be of little help, but in a dedicated
deck he could be quite good. Try it and see.

The

Toucher
Today we discuss one of the
more interesting cards in this set for Wind, Yura
from set 12.
Yura's ability is that he gives all your ninja from
the sand village -1 hand cost while being a
respectable 5/2 1/2 stated jonin with no hand cost
of his own.
Right now the following non-platoon ninja are able
to receive the -1 hand cost:
Temari (Boldness and Splendor from set 12)
The Fifth Kazekage (both from set 12 and from the
tins)
Baki (Cleaning Up from set 3)
The Kazekage (both from set 4)
now two things stick out to me; first is that Sasori
is without the Sand Characteristic necessary for
Yura to help (doesn't Yura help Sasori is the show?)
and the Second is that right now, Temari is set to
drop before Yura, and the only playable ninja of
these above is the Fifth Kazekage.
This card will most likley be better with age, but
right now keep it in the shoe box;)
Constructed: 2 out of 5. Not good right now, but
soon, maybe
Limited: 3 out of 5. has no HC and has jonin, not a
good effect though. This format is all about ninja

Yura [Brain of the Sand]
A bad card. His stats are a little bit weird, but
still good for meh-supporting. Sadly, his effect
isn't Valid. It's useful for keeping your hand nice
and big, but then again, why would you be using many
hand cost ninjas?
2/5, since there are better options

freeze!
Tomorrow: SHEEPS GO “BAA!”
Fun Fact: Why does the Brain of the Sand have no MP?
