Beastly Mage
Neji Hyuga & Hinata Hyuga
Welcome to another week of reviews guys. Before I
begin, I'd like to apologize for such a low score on
Loopy Fist. When you're writing a review after three
days of working at a convention... well, 2's and 5's
kinda look alike! >.<
OK, enough about my learning disabilities, on with
today's card!
The Neji and Hinata squad card is actually pretty
good. Like most Byakugan-related cards it works on
hand control. Trimming your opponent's hand size to
three or less can be frustrating most of the time.
Great thing is that this card works at the end of
your opponent's turn (not during battle or anything
like that) and it's valid too. Dunno how this will
work in limited, but in a dedicated Byakugan deck
this could bring so much pain to the table...
Ratings:
Limited: 1/5 (unless you draft them both, then it's
2.5/5)
Constructed: 3/5 (unless in a dedicated deck, then
it's 4/5)

Today we cover one of the
more well liked squad cards. Neji Hyuga and Hinata
Hyuga.
Now with any squad card, you have to be using the
two ninjas in the squad (hinata and neji) or the
awesome name stealer ninja. A 6/3 6/3 turn 4 ninja
with jonin is pretty cool on its own, but the
ability is something that many people will attempt
to abuse. This squad cuts the opposing players
maximum hand size by half. And it's valid!
the biggest question that players will face is which
hinata hyuga to use? we have overcoming the weakness
(set 9) the less popular ointment (set 6) and the
multiple turn 3 ones from both set 12 and set 13.
Overall, there is absolutely no reason not to play
any squad. and this one is no exception.
