Beastly Mage
Choji
Akimichi
This version of Choji sure packs a punch. First off:
a Chunin with 5/0 at turn 3?! Yes, please! Add to
that the fact that he's also got the Secret Pills
characteristic AND growth (which could make him
stronger). Then there's his effect: he gets +2/+2
when you discard an Earth Chakra and he's sent out
to attack for that turn. That could make him an 8
combat beatstick in the right situation. Only
problem is that when he's injured... he's a true
chump! Sasuke Syndrome is never good, believe me.
Still, he's good in an Earth deck. Try it and see!

It took them long enough!!! We FINALLY have a Choji
with built-in Secret Pills! This Choji has excellent
stats- a huge 5 combat on T3, with Growth included.
When he attacks, you can discard a chakra to pump
him. This helps combat against TBF, and if you build
a deck around him, Choji decks are one of the only
ones that can counter TBF very well.
This is an absolute savior for Choji decks
everywhere, and he can use powerful Jutsus, like
Spikey Human Boulder (+3 combat and damage
opponent), Expansion Jutsu (massive pump &
protection), and even Sasuke's Head in the Ground
(Headhunter). I have a Choji deck, and for me, this
Choji is the best thing since 100 Times Greater
Power's smexy art. Now, all we need is a Butterfly
Choji with an uber effect. But even outside of his
own deck, this is still a solid ninja that doesn't
even suffer from his friends' downside, since Choji
SOTP isn't as good as the other ridiculous 0's you
could be running.
4/5
Art: Bleah. Why do the Chunin characters have bad
art?
Tomorrow: Pedo-Bear isn't so sad when he has
children with him.
Fun Fact: I just realized that the set symbol for
Quest for Power is Choji's pills. One in the morning
and one at night.

Choji Akimichi [Powerful Support]
This card is a beatstick, plain and simple, provided
you've got the chakra to pump him up. The addition
of "Secret Pills" is a welcomed characteristic,
giving those Choji decks a main ninja with a bit
more "staying power". 7/2 plows through just about
any and every single Ninja with relative ease, kind
of like how Jiraiya does when he drops 3 turns
later. The 0/0 Injured stats really hurt this guys
though.
