Jiraiya
[Legendary Pervy Sage]
Today's card is everybody's favorite dirty old man,
Jiraiya!
This version of Jiraiya is quite solid. Turn 5 with
7/3 - 7/3? Yes, please! Problem with this card is
that he can't be included in teams with Ninjas that
are turn 2 or less. So, no Genins (other than the
turn 3 Narutos) in his team. He's pretty solid, and
I'm guessing there will be cards in this set that
will make Jiraiya even more playable. Try it and
see.

A T5 Sannin that keeps 7/3 stats. Now that the
previous Jiraiya powerhouse has been restricted, I
can see this guy seeing some play as just a
beatstick. Sure you won't be teaming him with your
random zero drop or Gaara [Tragic Name] to toss
guys, but he's still a beatstick and worth trying
out. Time will tell if he's good enough that his
effect isn't detrimental. From first look, he's not
bad. Not amazing, but still decent.
Constructed: 4.0 out of 5.0 (Solid stats and early
drop, but is that enough?)
Limited: 4.0 out of 5.0 (Hand cost but if that's
satisfied, he's a monster.)

Jiraiya
Here's the new Jiraiya. He has ridiculous stats -
7/3-7/3 on T5. His only cost is that he can't be
with T2 or lower ninjas. In the right deck, Jiraiya
can be devastating. He's also a good addition to
most Lightning decks in general. Is he worth running
alongside Instruction? Yes, especially if you don't
use Naruto much.
3/5
Art: It's okay.
Fun Fact: I don't think I'll have enough blood in my
finger to write my name on that scroll, man.

Jiraiya [Legendary Pervy Sage]
This Jiraiya is sporting some nice stats for a Turn
5 Ninja (hell, those are nice stats for a Turn 6
Ninja.) 7/3~7/3 is pretty good, but all this power
has to come at some price, correct? Of course it
does, but it's a fairly small one: Jiraiya can't be
teamed up with Ninjas Turn 2 or lower. But to be
completely honest, does it really even matter?
Provided you're hitting all your drops, this
shouldn't be a problem at all. He's bigger than just
about everything on Turn 5 except for vanilla Might
Guy (gets rolled on the following turn as his
Injured stats are lower). When you get right down to
it this Jiraiya is a beatstick plain and simple, but
in Constructed, you may opt to choose another
Jiraiya to get more out of the card than just a big
ninja (Jiraiya is actually pretty strong with his
regular stats). Just make sure you leave the kids at
home when playing this guy though. Jiraiya doesn't
like the little wipper-snappers; too much sass.
