Approaching Showdown
This is one Super that's sure to delight a few. It's
a turn 4 mission with one hand cost (nothing special
there). What it lets you do is avoid you and you
opponent from using Ninjas (during two turns) with a
hand cost. Now, that's not just Genins and Chunins,
but a lot of Squads and Platoons. This card could
spell T-R-O-U-B-L-E for your opponent. In
constructed, this could become a true threat. Dunno
about limited though. Try it and see!

M-547 Approaching Showdown
Hello, hello, hello! It's N. Jolly, fresh after
having ran my area's Chunin. There's a lot of it I
don't remember and I guess I kind of collapse'd into
the fetal position during part of it (I don't
remember a lot of that day), but overall, it was a
fun experience...I think...but it really got me back
into the spirit of Naruto, so I'm going to get back
to doing COTDs more often and really just getting
back into what you know me for; randomly spewing out
hate in an amusing manner.
Today's card should have been on Saturday, but we
can just check it now. it's a weird card call'd

T4 HC1 Earth/Lightning
Permanent Mission (2)
Effect: Only Ninjas with no Hand cost can be sent
out to Battle.
This seems like the weird little brother of NVS. I
can't think of an Earth or Lightning deck that could
really take advantage of this, maybe a Chain
Lightning deck or something like that, but really,
both elements really like their later turn cards.
For the most part, you'll have to play it on T6+ to
have it serve any real value, or else you won't be
getting much of a reward for it. There's not a lot
of T4 or lower that have a hand cost and are worth
playing, so you'll probably be holding back their
big guns.
I'm not a huge fan of this card, as I don't see the
value of it. I'm not doubting it has some use, such
as a secondary win condition for NVS, but it's not
horrible, like Leaf Hospital.

Now this is going to take a while...Bandai has a
history of horrible flavor text on cards (CH comes
to mind, among others), but this is a card that they
actually change'd a line from the show to add
context to the statement...really? This is the
point you decide'd to do this? Don't act like
you're trying now, after 14 sets for phrases that
even Jim Crazy the illiterate would look twice
at...also, nice pic of Neji and Naruto, really nice
action scene.../5

Well, there's really no hidden compartments or
latches to this card; it simply prevents Ninjas with
Hand Costs from battling. It's like 3am right now,
so I'm may be missing some obvious uses, I don't
feel this card does enough to see any serious play
though. Hand Cost Ninjas typically count for 4-8
Ninjas in the entire deck, and I can't really think
of too many decks that'd lose without them. This
card honestly doesn't feel like a Super Rare to me
either.
Limited: 2/5 (Not very many useable HC Ninja anyway)
