Beastly Mage
Konohamaru
Welcome to a new week of reviews. Today's card is
a new version of Konohamaru.
This Kono can sure help to reduce the amount of
BR's your opponent gets. If there's at least one
mission among the rewards your opponent gets, you
can move them to your hand (but only when he's
injured). So, let's say you deploy this little guy,
let your opponent get two rewards (and injure him in
the process) and recover a Pet Tora (the Lightning
version). If the other one's a Ninja, you just got
back two cards. Kinda situational, some would say.
But, if you run a lot of missions this kid could
help. BTW: notice that he's got "Clone Status"?
Wonder what that's for... *wink**wink*

Review:
Hey everyone. Today we are reviewing the new
Konohamaru card from Foretold Prophecy. Lightning
was in dire need of a good early game ninja not
named naruto or rock lee. This card was perfect for
it.
First off, his stats. At 0/0 and 3/0 healthy/injured
stats, he is essentially a copy of early game
narutos. Pretty good stats, especially considering
that his effect is only activated when he is in
injured status anyway.
He has the normal characteristics too, with the
interesting twist of also getting clone status. This
will let him use jutsus like Harem Jutsu.
His effect is fantastic. First off, not only do you
get to see what your opponent takes from you as a
BR, which is always a good thing to know, if there
are any missions in those battle rewards, you can
add those cards to your hand instead. So basically,
he does three things:
-Lets you see what your opponent is taking from you,
allowing you to play with that knowledge.
-Lets you take battle rewards away from your
opponent, which means that they have to work that
much harder to win the game later on.
-Finally, he gives you draw, by taking those mission
cards, and adding them to your hand.
Konohamaru's effect is good not only in lightning,
but in any deck really. If you can afford the space
for him (after other staple drops like kiba, shino,
whatever), or run a deck that needs missions real
bad (NVS comes to mind), he should be a shoo in.
Constructed: 4.5/5 <--- Near perfect early drop IMO.
Great stats for his turn, plus an awesome effect
that doesn't become worthless in the late game means
that he may end up saving many games for you.
Limited: 4.5/5 <--- Really depends on how many
missions you also picked up, but he is a good early
drop, with a very awesome effect.
