Fear by Genjutsu
Today's card is another killer. This one goes great
in pretty much any deck, since it costs three
colorless and has no initial user requirements. It
makes the opposing team (all of it) go stand-by.
That's good when attacking, since that way you can
slip in and get a Reward/Outstanding Reward. When
defending, it's good too. Now, here's the fun part:
if the user is a Genjutsu Ninja (Itachi, Kurenai,
Kakashi come to mind) you give one damage to the
whole team. In this new set there's a few new
Genjutsu Ninjas, so this card can be useful in
Limited. It's even better in Constructed.

J-640 Fear By Genjutsu
Honestly, I wasn't going to review tonight, but
then I saw the card and I had to get my opinion in
on this. Also, there should be a new sideboard match
up today, so that'll just be super hardcore awesome.
As for my first page advertising, that will probably
continue based on if I can make money on it. If not,
back to Dr. Pepper I go to see if they're willing to
sponsor me.
Today's card is the most overhyped card from the
new set, our good old friend Fear By Genjutsu. This
is one of the three most expensive cards from the
set (it's no.1) and for a good reason...good, not
great. But before I get all mad crazy furious, let's
check out this card's stats, shall we:
Fear By Genjutsu Fire/Wind
3
Target: Every Ninja Battling against the user
Effect: The target becomes a Stand-By Ninja.
Additionally, if the user has a "Genjutsu" Combat
Attribute, give 1 Damage to the target.
The big draw of this card is it's lack of
requirements. With it, you can push through your
opponent's team for BRs or push them back on
defense. If you do it with a genjutsu ninja, it'll
also give them all a damage, which is just
beautiful. But this card is really all up in people
because it's a "game winner" that can go in every
deck. Yes, it's a very solid card, but not an auto
inclusion in all decks like has been tossed around.
I myself would only run this card in a deck where
it's secondary effect might go off, rather than just
forcing it into whatever was lying around.
A card that while good, is not the best of the
set, which I put on the combo of Boyhood/Chidori,
this is a good example of why most of set 17 will
not be played, seeing as our jutsus will be staying
strong for a long time it seems.
Limited: 2.5/5 Not bad, but really not what's
happening in this format
Constructed: 3.75/5 With OC, Freedori, and GP in
this format, this guy is less of a troublemaker here
Block: 4.25/5 Now he has some room to flex his
muscles in this format
Art: In BLiNG rarity, this card is win/5

4/21/20 J-640 Fear By Genjutsu
=======================
Today's card is the most coveted card from Broken
Promises. Actually, it's the most valuable card in
the game right now (besides Chibi Sasuke) and for a
good reason. It has an insane effect and it's
splashable in any deck but particularly deadly in
Fire and Wind.
For three colorless, you make a team battling
against the user stand-bye ninjas. This alone is a
great effect since it has no requirements and it
nets you an easy two battle rewards. The second
effect is what makes it insane; if the user has a "Genjutsu"
CA, you give one damage to all ninjas in that team.
This effect is very easy to pull-off in Fire since
you have Obito, Kakashi, Itachi, and Sasuke, and
there are plenty of other random genjutsu ninjas
such as Yakumo that can activate the secondary
effect.
This card wins games with any deck. It can be
used in any deck for quick defense and battle
rewards and in the right ones, it can win you the
game with the addition of it's second effect. A very
outstanding card to say the least.
Limited: 5/5
Constructed: 5/5
Block: 5/5
Set 16 might hold a record for having two 5/5 cards
in one set (the other being Tobi).
