Beastly Mage
Monkey King Enma
This is the first time in many sets that we finally
get to see the Monkey King. You may remember that
the first time this Ninja came out it was a Super
Rare that could only be played when The Third was
out. Now, after many sets, we get to see this guy
again as a Rare. The "King of Beasts" allows you to
play Animal Ninjas as much as you want during the
turn. So, let's say this guy is out (healthy) you
can put in play a few Dogs, or maybe a Toad or two.
Remember that this lets you deploy them, but they
won't count towards the "one Ninja per turn"
deployment restriction, which is great for Animal
Rush Decks. As a bonus, the Valid effect gives him
+2/+2 when Enma is in the same team as The Third
Hokage (which comes in a few turns later).

N-965 Monkey King Emna [King Of Beasts]
================================
Finally, after many sets we get another Monkey King
Emna who fortunately does not suck. At first glance,
he looks like a terrible ninja since he has 2/2
healthy and injured stats at turn 3, but his effect
more than makes up for it. He allows you to
deploy infinite animals during your turn, which can
be insane if you Animal Contract active. This can
lead to massive drawing and rushing. Combine this
with Scouting Party and Kakashi (Anbu Days) and you
will have one terrifying field. His second effect is
mostly useless since there is no good Third Hokages.
Well, [Guardian of the Village] is decent in puppies
since giving your puppies growth coins is always
good. I'm not gonna start on [For The Greater Good].
Limited: 1/5 Too weak and not as useful here
Unlimited: 3.5/5 Kinda not as useful since Hikaru
Tsuki is nearly the same, albeit faster
Block: 4/5
Let's not beat around the bush. This guy is
ridiculous in Dogs, being able to provide an
overwhelming board presences, especially in
combination with compatible cards, or a small remedy
for when your opponent starts hating on your
Surprise Help or other non-deploy put-in-play
effects, or even when your field might get wiped by
that ever-so-annoying Sasuke Uchiha [Freezing Eyes].
I have no complaints about this guy, granted you
build your deck to accomodate him.
Limited: 1/5 Unless you also get 2 Pakkun in your
pool or something, this guy is just a severely-understat
Turn 3.
Unlimited (Const'd): 4.5/5 This guy is a major
catalyst in the Unlimited-format Animal deck. Just
thinking about what he can do...
Block: 3.5/5 An important part of the Dog Deck,
allowing to overwhelm the opponent as well as meet
Kakashi (AB)'s 4-dog effect.

Monkey King Enma
Oooooh, I like this card! The amount of hate this
card isn't fair! The constant "it's pointless
because most of the ninjas dogs are already out by
then" doesn't
hold strong enough!
"deploying your "animal" ninja cards does not count
towards the "1 Ninja per turn" restriction."
This card can swarm you real bad...bam! Scouting
Party, start the QQ's please.
Loaded with many animal ninjas in your hand? Get
Monkey King out and flood the field with pups.
It's unfair, there are other cards, besides ninja
dogs, that makes use of this card. A ninja
toad deck for one.... and that's probably it.
The biggest misunderstanding with this card is that
many think that it brings itself out under it's own
effect...which it doesn't. It will cost you
summoning a ninja to bring him out so unless you
have animals in your hand... it's not wise to bring
this card out when you have another ninja to choose
from.
Lastly, it's second effect isn't impressive. A
pump up is good but only if the Third Hokage is on
the field. So a late game pump up is good but
the first effect will already have been used up by
then. Also... who in the right mind would run
[for the greater good]? it can save you but
the price is so heavy for
an effect that jutsus can do too! There is
always Third Hokage [childhood] but.. lol let's be
serious... just no.
Block: 3/5
its likely that most of the animals in the hand
might already be out but for the
occasions that it's not the case... this card is
your answer.
won't win you games unless it's in a ninja dog
deck.... or ninja toad
