N-718 Orochimaru (Childhood) [SHOWN SIGNS OF THE
LEGENDS]
It's a good day to be Jolly, with a Dr. Pepper in
his hand (I love Dr. Pepper, remember that) and
Mexican food by his side, he is a happy, pretty guy.
Looking forward to tomorrow and playing with my new
cards against all of my sworn foes! And tomorrow SPT
(Steven Pro Tech) and I will be getting up the new
vids. Make sure to subscribe to MechieSomay, it's
what all the cool and pretty kids are doing who are
also awesome!
Today's card is a big one , Kid Oro. This is a
card that some people think should not have been
made thanks to a little jutsu known as 10k around
these parts. Even without that, he's still a hell of
a card. But let's check out his stats, shall we:
T3 HC1
Leaf l Male l Genin l Mental Power: 2 l Name:
Orochimaru
5/3 1/2 CA: Snake
Set 16: Rare
This card has great stats, but it's most
important characteristic is it's name. It's good for
both heading a team and support, and has nice
support while injured. Snake CA is also a nice boon,
as it lets it use other cards that really shouldn't
see play until later in the game. Mental power: 2 is
pretty nice, especially with the mental decks
running around. Being a genin does help for NVS, but
all the kid sannins are in the same sexy boat on
that one. So let's check out it's effect and see if
it stacks up, shall we:
[SHOWN SIGNS OF THE LEGENDS]
When your opponent plays a Mission card, any Hand
cost of that mission is discarded. When your
opponent's non-Permanent Mission card's effect is
applied, that Mission card is discarded. When your
opponent's Permanent Mission cards are removed from
play, those Mission cards are discarded.
Vicious! That right there kills the best way to
build chakra in most decks, by playing missions!
That's a hard hit for any deck to take, and with
Water already being good at denying resources, a
card like this is just the finishing blow (not to be
confused with the Sasuke, finishing blow...who I
hate) to that abuse. Taking a card that by name
alone is overpowered at it's turn slot and giving it
an effect like this feels like overkill. Anko can
even search this beast out, making it consistent as
well as devastating. It's not broken, but it does
feel like an auto inclusion in any deck that runs
water or earth, which I don't like.
Limited: 3/5 Not insane here, but still strong
even with an HC.
Constructed: 4.25/5 Very good here, hard to compete
with this card.
Block: 4.25/5 Just as strong here.
Art: So no one in the village thought a kid this
pale and evil looking would ever cause a problem?
Really? Just look at his kid eyes and tell me you
don't feel evil! Stupid, stupid village.../5
