Beastly Mage
Sharpness of the Weapon
Today's card is one that's sure to please the
"Weapon" Combat Attribute fans out there. Sharpness
of the weapon is good in played right. In a team
that's sure to win the Victory (or Outstanding
Victory), changing a Ninja to injured status would
be a piece of cake. But, if the user has the
"Weapon" attribute... then the hand control part
kicks in! Yeah, one random card from your opponent's
hand goes to the discard pile (which for Earth decks
isn't so difficult). I have to say this is a good
card for Earth, so, why not give it a shot?

Preview card: J-616 Sharpness of the Weapon
Hello all, and boy is this card a step down from
the cards we got last set to preview...god, I hope
we get Rin...
Today's card is a new jutsu called Sharpness of
the Weapon, a fun little card that weapon decks may
like. While it doesn't require weapon combat
attribute, it is helped by it. Let's check out it's
effect, shall we:
Sharpness of the Weapon
Earth Jutsu
Earth I Earth
Target: 1 Ninja
Effect: The user gets +1/+1 during this turn. If the
user's Team wins a Victory or Outstanding Victory,
change the target to injured status. Additionally,
if the user has a "Weapon" Combat Attribute,
randomly discard 1 card from your opponent's hand.
Wow, that's a pretty weak pump. If it wins, you
get to snipe a ninja into injured status, and if
it's weapon, you drop a random card from their
hand...not really a big card. Weapon is pretty big
on pumps, but a +1/+1 is kind of under the radar for
really anyone. Winning the battle that turn will
allow you to injure a side ninja, but I feel like
there should be better ways to do this. Being weapon
allows you to drop a card from their hand, making
this card very effect heavy. But I guess the issue
here is: Is that worth two specific Earth chakra? If
it was Earth I 1, I could see it, but it's a bit
expensive for what it does. It's not bad, but it's
sure as hell no Bashfulness...
Limited: 1.5/5 Two specific chakra? Yeah, good
luck here...
Constructed: 2/5 Sniping a Shika U or Yoroi is nice,
but not worth that cost.
Block: 2/5 Again, no difference here

enough, for life!/5

Sharpness of the Weapon
-----------------------
Today's our first exclusive of set 16, woot! Too
bad it isn't anything too spectacular >.>
For one earth and one colorless, the user get's a
measly +1/+1; not good at all, however, if you win a
victory or outstanding victory, you can injure a
ninja. This isn't that good because if you're losing
you're going to want to injure your opponent now
rather than later plus the +1/+1 will not help you
win anything. Finally, if the user has Weapon CA,
you randomly discard 1 card from your opponent's
hand... which is good but not great.
The only upside I see to this card is that you
can use it while you are being chumped; use it then
injure when of your opponent's stronger ninja.
Otherwise, a pretty meh card at best.
Limited: 1/5 Specific cost, lame effect
Constructed: 1/5 Not even good in weapon decks...
weapon has so many better jutsus

Pojo Exclusive Broken Promises #1
Sharpness of the Weapon
Welcome to another set of previews, Pojo-ers!
Today we bring you a new jutsu card, Sharpness of
the Weapon. Unfortunately, I’m completely
disappointed in this card. 1 earth and 1 colorless
to get a +1+1 and maybe injure a ninja at the end of
the showdown? No thanks. I see the only real benefit
being the ability to kill a card in their hand if
the user has weapon CA, but even still, no weapon
deck would waste space with this card. This card
should be a single earth cost only. Maybe then it’d
be somewhat less useless. Otherwise, prepare to let
this one sit in the card box.

help in draft)
