#6 The Fourth Kazekage [DIGNITY]
Hey there all, got home a bit late today so I'll
have to wait till Monday to get the article up, but
I'm still working hard at it, as well as other
things!
Today's card is a fun one from the new set that
we just got, the ginger who spawned the ginger we
all love, The Fourth Kazekage! This was a card that
was getting a lot of hype, possibly even taking
Tsunade's place as wind's T6 ninja. But let's check
out his stats, shall we:
T6 HC1 Wind
Sand/Male/Satoosa/Mental Power: 2
6/4 5/1 CA: Ninjutsu/Weapon
Set 15 Super Rare
Right from base, we've got a pretty solid card.
For a T6, those are pretty respectable stats,
although he goes from a supporter to a team leader
the second he goes injured, which is a bit odd.
Being Sand allows him to work with the Wind City
mission from set 13, as well as having Satoosa rank
gives him some options and protects him from other
cards. The Ninjutsu combat attribute is getting a
bit of a boost this new set, and weapon is always
good to have. And the Mental Power: 2 is just nice,
as it allows him to attack with Pressure on the
board, which combos nicely with his effect, which
we'll check out now:
[DIGNITY]
When this Ninja is sent out to Attack, your
opponent must select and discard 1 of their in-play
Ninjas.
So he's a souped up version of the old set 3 Baki
(whom himself got a new, more powerful version), and
with great stats to back it up. This card combined
with Baki and Wind City allow an attacking player to
quickly rip through their opponent's board, causing
the deck that I've been calling "Wind Sinkhole" to
really rocket through the meta. With a power like
this, wind has some real contention for their higher
turn slots.
Limited: 5/5 Draft him, play him.
Constructed: 4.5/5 He's a solid pull and great in a
deck that abuses him.
Block: 4/5 Wind lost a lot her, but he's one of the
bright spots in their lineup.
Art: For a satoosa, he looks pretty plain...maybe
it's a disguise.../5
Let's all get ready for next week, starting off
with yet another wind card! And to think, now that
block is in town, Wind lost a lot, and still has
some of the best cards of the year!
