Sasuke Uchiha [Heir to the Uchiha]
This is a special moment. Today marks our 1,000th
Naruto Card of the Day Review!
To mark off this special moment, we'll review a card
from the upcoming TP2 (Chibi Pack 2). This section's
first review was a Turn 1 Sasuke from back in the
day with 4/0 - 1/0 (Individual Play). Interestingly
enough, today's card is also a Turn 1 Sasuke. Thing
is that this one is WAY better. First off, the Heir
can be put in teams with other Genin Ninjas. This
version is also a common, as opposed to a Super
Rare. That means it'll be easier to get. He's got
Growth, something the first Ninjas back then lacked.
Now, the effect is what really gets you. When he's
sent out to attack you can discard the top card in
your opponent's deck. When that happens your
opponent can't use any cards with the same name as
the discarded card during that turn. So, if you
discard a Jutsu by this effect your opponent can't
respond with that very Jutsu during that turn. This
effect doesn't work when blocking, but it's still
good. It fits in to the Uchiha/Mill theme quite
nicely. Add to that the fact that he's already got
quite some Jutsus that he can use, and he would do
great in Constructed. Try it and see!

N-1017 Sasuke Uchiha [Heir To The Uchiha Clan]
====================================
Today's card is a monumental review here at Pojo as
it is our 1000th Card-Of-The-Day review. Our first
review four years ago was a Turn 1 Sasuke, and
today's card follows in the same suit.
Sasuke has come a long way in the past four years.
Back in the old days, Sasuke Uchiha [Individual
Play] was one of the scariest early ninjas in the
game. Four combat was the highest you could get that
fast, although his effect prevented him from gaining
additional team power until later in the game.
Nowadays, Sasuke has even higher stats at T0 without
any downsides, and is only common -- rather than
super rare.
[Heir To The Uchiha] has equal stats and
characteristics (plus Growth) as [Individual Play],
but his effect is more helpful (somewhat) than the
old super. When you attack, you mill the top card of
your opponent's deck; your opponent cannot play any
cards with the same name then during the turn. This
can possibly shut down a jutsu, but the odds are
slim and inconsistent. If it lasted an extra turn,
however, I would like it a lot better. This way, if
you hit a Ninja, your opponent may miss a deploy. As
I just said, the effect is to inconsistent to be
worthwhile since you need to hit a Jutsu (which
makes up 1/5 of a deck at the most) and your
opponent must have one in hand. Technically, the
only other thing that this card can stop is Might
Guy [Passion]... I guess...
Although this cards effect isn't useful, it could be
nice in mill, growing over your Sasuke (Childhood).
That way, you have a 5/1 milling machine at T1. The
only problem is that Mill isn't too relevant in the
current Block system, and is mostly an Unlimited
deck type. In unlimited, Naruto [Dangerous Chakra]
is the better one drop, and Sasuke [Shinobi of The
Crimson Flames] makes a better Sasuke for the deck.
