Beastly Mage
Jiraiya and The 4th Hokage
Today's card is one more Tin Promo Squad Card.
Jiraiya and the Fourth allow you to turn every
single card in your opponent's Chakra Area into a
Lightning Card. That means that if you're battling a
Watter Deck, your opponent got zapped. Even if the
card are dual-colored, that means nothing. The ONLY
symbol they're gonna have IS Lightning. Unless
you're battling a Lightning Deck or some deck that
relies on Colorless-Cost Jutsus, this card is a good
backup plan for your Reinforcement Deck. The effect
is not valid, but the Injured stats make up for
that. Trust me, this card has a few people happy
right now.

PR-065 Jiraiya & The 4th Hokage [Teacher And Leader]
========================================
Today's card is another one of the three
"Untouchable" tin previews. Personally, I have mixed
feelings about this squad. First off, it is the
first squad with hand cost, which is pretty heavy
considering every Fourth Hokage and Jiraiya have
hand cost of their own. This makes the squad a five
card requirement, possibly four with Fourth Hokage
(Younger Days). Additionally, Jiraiya and the Fourth
are very powerful cards on their own, so it is hard
giving up two of your most powerful ninjas to get
this squad, although it isn't too bad if you squad
it off of Jiraiya (Childhood) or Fourth Hokage
(Childhood) (albeit, no one uses the former).
While it is hard to pull off, it has one of the most
satisfying effects in the game. It makes all of your
opponent's chakras have the lightning symbol and
only lightning. This can easily shutdown nearly
every jutsu your opponent might have. While this is
all good, it has a few downsides. First off, if it
is not "Valid", which is a shame since it has
such nice injured stats. The second is the obvious
effect that it is practically useless in mirror
matches. The final con is that Sakon [Cursed Twins]
easily shuts down this effect, as well as Asuma
[Will of Fire], but the former is easily splashed
sideboard material.
All in all, this is a pricey squad with an
interesting effect. It's sort of like the new Kakuzu
(Soul Form) -- an expensive card, but with a
possibly game sealing effect. Knowing when to play
the card is the most important thing you'll need to
know.
