Beastly Mage
Sasuke Uchiha (State 2)
This is one card that the present Water Decks just
love. This Reinforcement allows the whole "running
empty-handed" strategy to have a purpose. The only
way to get this Sasuke out is by taking a
Sasuke you control that's turn 4 or more and sending
him to your Chakra Area while your hand is empty
(rather than remove him from play). While he's
healthy and your hand is empty, none of your Water
Ninjas are affected by your opponent's effects. His
Valid effect gives him the "Jonin" characteristic,
which can help. With killer stats like his, Mastery,
and the amount of Jutsus Water has that can be used
from the Chakra Area, this guy can become a true
monster. Just remember to keep your hand empty...

N-934 Sasuke Uchiha (State 2) [Power of the Curse
Mark]
===========================================
Today's card is probably the most talked about cards
from set 18, Sasuke Uchiha (State 2). This card is
pretty infamous since it can lead water into some
very easy victories. For starters, you need to
remove a Sasuke Uchiha with an EC of 4 or more to
put this guy in play, however, the EC of this card
must be met. In other words, you cannot play this
card on T4, but on T6. (State 2) has massive 8/4,
6/2 stats, making him the most powerful
reinforcement to date. Additionally, he has Mastery
which is one of my favorite characteristics for any
ninja. Let's look at his effects now.
To put him in play, you basically send a Sasuke
Uchiha + EC of 4 or more to your chakra area while
you have no cards in your hand to put him in play.
While you have no cards in your hand, all of your
Water ninjas are not affected by your opponent's
cards. Remember how annoying [Overflowing Chakra]
ninjas were back in the day? Well now you have a
village full of them. Although this effect is not
valid, you can just put in play another State 2
Sasuke by using your injured one as the requirement.
My favorite combo with this card is him and Kakuzu
from set 17. Who doesn't enjoy a ninja who cannot
receive damage or be affected by your
opponent's cards? It's practically invincible,
unless it is removed from play via reactive jutsus.
The second effect gives this Jonin which is not too
spectacular in Block format, but incredible in
unlimited.
While this card is annoying, it can be easily
countered by a few cards. Probably the easiest way
of stopping this card without running Miroku is
running Zetsu [Mysterious Nature]. Track Sasuke and
then when your opponent draws on their next turn,
Sasuke will lose his effect for as long as Zetsu is
alive.
Pros:
-Incredible stats
-Reinforcement card, so it does not waste deck space
and gives it virtually no disadvantage to running it
in any water deck with a viable Sasuke.
-Godly Effect + Jonin
-Mastery
Cons:
-Requires you to have no hand, although this is not
too bad with all of the "no hand" support water is
getting.
Limited: 1.5/5 Possible, but difficult.
