Beastly Mage

Race!

Today's card is a bit of a Challenge. You can play it at T0, with one Hand Cost. Let's say you play it, and it's a race between your Opponent and you to see who gets to T5 the fastest. The prize? Moving it to your Chakra Area, and whoever got to T5 (or higher) first draws three cards. This card would be good as a Sideboard option for Lightning. I wouldn't recommend using it against a Pain Deck because of Turn Control. Now, if you manage to fit it in a Pain Deck, this is a guaranteed three-card draw plus Chakra. I'm not sure of what themes we'll be seeing in this new Tournament Pack will bring, but this is one interesting Mission indeed.

Another set, another week of exclusives previews... Today's card is a pretty straight forward mission; whoever gets to turn 5 first wins three battle rewards. Initially, I thought this card was pretty trashy. If you end up having to go second, this card will end up being useless, and even if you go first, it is susceptible to getting hit with Hina; however, both of these downsides have loop-holes to get around them. The card's loop-hole is in its trigger -- "When a player's turn marker becomes 5 or higher". By playing this card on your turn 4 or higher, you will have an almost guaranteed 3 card draw, assuming you're not playing against Void. Your opponent's turn marker shouldn't be changing during your turn, and they cannot Hina either. In my eyes, the card is pretty much like this:

T4 HC:1
Permanent
At the end of your turn, draw 3 cards.

Probably the most obvious use for this card is by playing it in a Void-Lightning deck, since Void more or less has the "time-control" theme. While the card draw is nothing to scoff at, Void has many other draw missions that it may find more useful, such as Invasion, but it might find room in a deck. For non-Void Lightning, it's a possibly playable card if you don't mind waiting until the end of your turn 4 or higher to draw.

Limited: 2.5/5
Unlimited: 2/5
Block: 3/5
Interesting Scenario: Both player's are on T1. Player A played Race on T0. This turn, Player A plays "4 Times Faster". Who draws the three cards, since both players will hit turn 5 simultaneously?
