Beastly Mage
Low Stamina
This is one mission that could help in Water,
even if just for the sideboard. We all know that
there's always that one Ninja that just keeps
hitting and blocking with no problem. This card
takes care of that. It's a Turn 1 with a Hand Cost
of 1 (that's also Mono-Water). You attach it to one
Ninja, and when that Ninja goes out to battle on one
turn it can't battle again next turn. This would
have your opponent thinking of ways to use that
Ninja at proper times rather than having it battle
all the time. Note that this is a Regular Permanent
and not a Counter Permanent, so that could affect
its use. If it were Counter you could use it on your
opponent's turn and maybe turn the tide a bit.
Still, a pretty good card. Try it and see!

Today's card is yet another TP3 exclusive, and a
rather good one, in my opinion. In fact, it's one of
my favorite cards previewed so far. This card can
easily mess up your opponent's battle strategies; if
the target Ninja attacks, it cannot block the turn
after, and if it blocks, it will be unable to
attack. It has EC:1, so you'll be able to mess
around with your opponent very early, but it's still
quite good late game.
In a sense, this card is similar to Ino Yamanka
[Formation] from Eternal Rivalry in the sense that
it trolls your opponent. Although Ino was not
necessarily winning you the game, It messed up your
opponent's teams and prevented them attacking with
their optimal team. Low Stamina will have a similar
effect, since your opponent will probably leave the
targeted ninja only for blocking since they probably
wouldn't want to Attack and leave themselves
defenseless next turn. So like Ino, the targeted
ninja probably won't be being sent out to attack.
I really like this card and it's not terribly
broken. Not sure how much play it will see, but I'm
sure it will see plenty of play after Gencon.
