Beastly Mage
Temari
Today we have a turn 3 Jonin version of Temari. At
first glance I'm struck to find that she has no
Mental Power. She's got good stats in Healthy, and
her effect (Valid) gives her a bit more. The Valid
part of the effect gives all of your Weapon Ninjas
+1/0, and it doesn't say "your other Weapon Ninjas".
Too bad she goes to zero Injured. The first part of
the effect allows you to move a Weapon Ninja in your
discard pile to your hand. That can be very useful
when you're in need of some extra help. Of course,
the only deck she'll fit in well is the Weapon deck
(or maybe a Female deck with plenty of Weapon
Ninjas). She's good in Limited if only for the fact
she's an early-arrival with no hand cost. Try it and
see!
Today's card is some weapon support from set 21,
temari fierce winds.
Temari is a turn 3 with average 4/3 0/0 stats, she
has jonin and obviously weapon. I would like to
point out she has no mental value even thought its a
standard for t3 temari. When temari is deployed you
can take any weapon ninja from your discard pile and
add it to your hand. Temari also gives any ninja
with the weapon atribute (including herself) a +1 to
combat value.
Wind-Wind weapon gets another exellent on-color
ninja to add to the deck. Im not saying wind weapon
will trump the other wind variants, but if more
cards like temari are made, it could be possible
sooner than you think. The ability to recover a 4th
kazekage after his reign ends or if due to a
temgaara is nothing short of fantasic, temari will
be loved in wind weapon
Water-another popular color for the weapon strategy
is water, and temari will give the deck huge
improvements. Though she lacks ambush, temari is
essentially another copy of any late game ninja like
kisame when you lose a critiical fight. Water is an
interesting element this format and weapon is
stronger than i think is given credit.
Earth-Earth weapons turn 3 is normally either an
on-color zetsu or a splash. Temari wont likely trump
zetsu, but shes worth a slot or two because of both
the bonus and the recovery of a late game ninja such
as asuma
Temari has a good range of decktypes she can
contribute in, Weapon got a major upgrade when this
card hit the format.
Limited: 2/5
Block:
Wind: 4/5 (weapon winds best turn 3)
Water: 4/5 (temari is an exellent 1-2 of)
Earth: 3/5 (zetsu may bring this card value down,
but shes still a solid 1 of)
Art: 3/5 (action pose go?)
